The Breeze was down at the Waimate Rainbow cafe this morning for the Ash bucket a day give away. Promoting the safe disposal of your fire place ash. Garth Matt and Tenika doing a great job supporting FENZ in their fire risk reduction campaign.

Hi all, we will be selling raffles at New World tomorrow between 9am and 2pm tomorrow. Less than 2 months before our four local Firefighter battle the stairs of the Auckland Sky Tower

As we celebrate the employers of our volunteer Firefighters tonight, I reflect on how hard times are now for us in our households. So too it must be for a business to support an employee as a volunteer firefighter. The silent support these businesses carry out every day is both extremely important for our communities and a humble gift back to us to keep us safe. Their workers leave with no warning and with no due back time, sometimes 15 minutes sometimes 3 hours.
So please take a minute to read the names of the businesses below and support them the way they support us.
