Today was the waimate volunteer fire brigade annual fishing trip with our CFO Steve Pali taking it out! 🎣🍻

Hi all current and ex-members of The Waimate Volunteer Fire Brigade. As you all know we are holding our 150th Jubilee,Labour Weekend this year. A few of you have been asking what’s happening for the weekend so here we are.

Friday 23rd October

Meet and greet at the Waimate Fire Station from 1600hrs onwards, casual dress. Cash bar/eftpos available.
BUS ALSO AVAILABLE.

Saturday 24th October:
10am - 1:00pm - Station open day and Truck parade and display.

1730hrs - onwards
Jubilee Function A&P Shears Pavillon
Supper available
Cash Bar- Eftpos Available.
Formal Dress
Bus Available.

Sunday 25th October:
12pm - Tree Planting @ Bushtown

1330hr - BBQ @ The Fire Station (Memmber/Ex members and family.

A proud moment for the Waimate Brigade with ex members Isaac and Leighton Bray competing in the Road Crash Rescue Nationals in Fielding currently.
Both are competing in the Ranfurly team, with Isaac the youngest team leader in the whole competition.
They are ‘smashing it’. Well done fellas!

A little fire safety tip...
If you have been using those tools that are powered by lithium ion batteries like Peppa has been. Make sure you follow some simple safety tips to help prevent Lithium Ion Battery Fires.
☀️Charge during the day while you are awake
⚡Charge until 100% and switch off (do not leave over night, weekend or week!!🔥)
🪑Charge on a hard surface clear of flammable items
