HELLO SPRING

This week marks the start of Spring, and at Woodland Hills, this is the beginning of one of our favourite times of the year. Over the coming weeks, the trees will burst into leaf, the colours will freshen, and the whole property will begin to change.

This means Spring Awakening at Woodland Hills is getting closer.

On Sunday 11 October, we will open Woodland Hills for a special day of slowing down, wandering, noticing, and enjoying Spring with all the senses.

Come for the trees, the fresh air, the peaceful surroundings, the picnic lunch, and the chance to experience Woodland Hills at its best.

Tickets are limited to 100 and are selling steadily, so if you are planning to join us, now is a good time to book.

Where will you choose to picnic?

We have been imagining where our guests might stop for lunch during Spring Awakening on Sunday 11 October. Perhaps beside the water, beneath the trees or tucked away in a quiet woodland clearing?

One of the pleasures of the day will be having time to slow down, wander and find a spot that appeals to you. Bring a picnic rug, settle in and enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by the sights and sounds of Spring.

There's no rush and no need to get anywhere quickly. Spring Awakening is about experiencing Woodland Hills at a gentler pace - noticing things we often walk straight past and taking time to simply enjoy being outdoors.

Your ticket includes a packed lunch, bottled water and afternoon tea, so all you need to do is choose your spot.

Which of these three would you pick? 1, 2 or 3?

It may not feel like Spring today.....but it's coming 🌷

On a cold, wet winter's day like today, it's hard to imagine that in just a few weeks the days will be longer, the trees will be bursting into leaf and Woodland Hills will be waking up for Spring.

And that's exactly what Spring Awakening at Woodland Hills is all about.

On Sunday 11 October, we're inviting you to leave the everyday life behind for a few hours and experience Spring at a slower pace.

Wander beneath the trees. Listen to the birds. Notice the scents and textures of the woodland. Enjoy a packed lunch and afternoon tea - and simply take time to appreciate being outdoors.

It's our very accessible introduction to the idea of forest bathing - no swimsuits, no strenuous exercise and nothing complicated. Just nature, experienced a little more slowly and with all your senses.

So, while the rain falls outside today, give yourself something lovely to look forward to β˜€
