Our successful monthly meetups, She Connects continues this month with Creative Journalling – Saturday 12 September!

Join us 6 to 8pm at Shoesmith Hall for a relaxed evening of creative journalling with our friend Hana-Jane.

If you’ve never tried creative journalling before, don’t worry! No experience is needed and everything you need will be provided.

We also have some exciting news — instead of our usual Warkworth event in October, we’re going to support Lou (Community Facilitator for Mahurangi East to Leigh) in getting a new She Connects chapter started in Snells Beach!

We’d love to make the first event something really special, and we’re putting the call out to our She Connects crew...

An awesome community initiative kicked off this weekend - the Riverhead Community LEGO Club!
Described as a "quiet alternative" to your typical club, these regular sessions provide a calm, low-pressure, and sensory-friendly environment where tamariki (especially our neurodivergent builders) and whānau can socialize, create, and connect without the overwhelm.

Our team are proud to be supporting this new group with venue hire fees and promotion. Got something creative you’d like to make happen in Rodney?

This year’s Creative Rodney funding round is now open, and we’d love to hear your idea.

It could be dance, film, craft, visual arts, music, kapa haka, spoken word, digital art, a book, a show, an event or an exhibition. The possibilities are deliberately wide.
