LAST CHANCE to apply for our Big Screen Symposium scholarship! Screen Wellington has 4 x scholarships available. Applications close tomorrow 5:00 PM. ‼️

The Big Screen Symposium is a unique place to connect and network with other industry professionals, be inspired and invest in yourself and your future projects. 🎬

Our scholarship includes:
✅ A full event ticket.
✅ A $400 travel and accommodation grant.

Eligibility criteria:
✅ Be based within the wider Wellington region.
✅ Currently working or studying in the screen industry.
✅ Agree to media posts and provide a small report on what you gained by attending the BSS.

To apply, email [email protected] with your CV and a 400 words or less statement explaining why you should be selected for this scholarship.

🏆 We're thrilled to see the team behind the beautifully animated short film "The Catch" take home the Wellington UNESCO City of Film Supreme Award at the Wellington Animation Film Festival (WAFF)! 🏆

Well done to the entire team behind this film, and to the organisers at WAFF for curating such a wonderful selection of inspiration short films to chose from. 👏

The Supreme Award includes this EPIC trophy from WAFF (photographed), and travel contribution from Screen Wellington toward attending this years Annecy International Animation Festival. ✨

🎬 Want to attend BBig Screen Symposium2026?

Screen Wellington is offering scholarships to help our region’s screen practitioners to attend the event in Auckland!

🟡 Screen Wellington has 4 x scholarships available (Full ticket + $400 grant)
🗓 Closes: Friday 17th April 2026

The scholarship includes:
✅ A full event ticket.
✅ A $400 travel and accommodation grant (Paid on the 20th of the month following receipt of a valid invoice).

Eligibility criteria:
✅ Be based within the wider Wellington region.
✅ Currently working or studying in the screen industry.
✅ Agree to media posts and provide a small report on what you gained by attending the BSS.
