No llores por mí, Argentina
En las últimas semanas se ha instalado una campaña digital internacional antiargentina con el fin de propagar odio hacia el pueblo argentino. El fenómeno comenzó durante el Mundial de Fútbol, especialmente después del partido contra Jordania, y rápidamente se amplificó en las redes sociales y los medios globales.
Su carácter transversal —personas de derecha e izquierda, de países centrales y periféricos, racializadas y blancas, con distintos niveles educativos— revela que muchos participan sin información suficiente y, en algunos casos, sin saber siquiera dónde está Argentina en el mapa. Esta campaña, que empezó con fake news y tuits, ya se ha materializado en episodios de violencia y racismo contra inmigrantes argentinos en diferentes países, y Nueva Zelanda no es la excepción.
Aquí nuestro objetivo es doble: desmontar la narrativa de odio y redirigir la atención hacia quienes realmente se benefician de esta operación: los tecno-ricos con intereses geopolíticos concretos y la oligarquía argentina, bien conocida como los «vende patria».
Antiargentinidad
La expresión «campaña antiargentina» no es nueva. Durante la última dictadura cívico-militar (1976-1983), el gobierno de facto acusó a la prensa internacional de orquestar una campaña en su contra para negar las acusaciones por crímenes de lesa humanidad. El hecho de que esta narrativa resurja durante el gobierno de Javier Milei —caracterizado por políticas de corte fascista y un alineamiento con agendas extranjeras— no es casual.
Argentina es un país complejo, con una historia atravesada por la colonización, las migraciones masivas y las luchas por la soberanía:
El territorio argentino fue originalmente habitado por diversos pueblos originarios y, más tarde, colonizado de manera violenta por España.
La independencia se consolidó en 1816.
La Constitución de 1853 estableció la igualdad ante la ley sin distinción de raza; nunca existieron leyes de apartheid ni prohibiciones de matrimonios in*******ales.
La Ley de Migraciones N.° 25.871 considera la irregularidad migratoria como una infracción administrativa, no como un delito penal, y garantiza el acceso gratuito a la salud y a la educación públicas.
Argentina es profundamente multicultural: la mayoría de la población es mestiza, con herencias indígenas, afroargentinas y de inmigraciones europea, árabe y armenia.
La disminución demográfica afroargentina se explica por las epidemias, la manipulación censal y la participación forzada en la Guerra de la Triple Alianza (1864-1870).
La Conquista del Desierto (décadas de 1870 y 1880) implicó una violenta represión estatal contra los pueblos originarios.
Entre 1880 y 1930 llegaron millones de inmigrantes europeos y de Medio Oriente; muchos huían de guerras y hambrunas, mientras que otros eran perseguidos por el fascismo.
Constitución de 1949: Perón modificó el artículo constitucional original que obligaba al Estado a «conservar el trato pacífico con los indios y promover la conversión de ellos al catolicismo». Esta frase se eliminó para otorgarles formalmente el estatus de ciudadanos plenos.
Estatuto del Peón de Campo: Se sancionó originalmente el 8 de octubre de 1944. Más tarde, sus normativas se extendieron a los trabajadores indígenas para frenar la explotación semifeudal en los ingenios azucareros y en las cosechas de algodón.
1973: Se creó la Dirección del Aborigen y se impulsó el Plan Trienal, que contemplaba la adjudicación gratuita de tierras a las comunidades postergadas.
2010 (Día del Respeto a la Diversidad Cultural): Mediante el Decreto N.° 1584/2010, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner transformó el tradicional «Día de la Raza» del 12 de octubre para promover la reflexión histórica y el respeto hacia los pueblos originarios.
La acusación de que «Argentina es ra***ta porque no tiene suficientes personas negras» es una simplificación que desconoce esta historia. Medir el racismo contando personas negras es, en sí mismo, una métrica ra***ta.
Argentina, como cualquier sociedad, tiene componentes ra***tas. Sin embargo, la campaña actual utiliza videos aislados para construir una narrativa generalizada, ignorando el contexto histórico y social. Países con estructuras coloniales vigentes —incluyendo monarquías y Estados con fuerzas policiales que persiguen a inmigrantes o donde la violencia policial contra personas negras es sistemática— proyectan sus propias fallas sobre la Argentina para lavar culpas y desviar la atención de sus propias prácticas.
Na**smo
Parte del ataque también vincula a los argentinos con el n**ismo debido a la llegada de criminales de guerra tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Esto ocurrió, en parte, por una política internacional anticomunista que buscaba prevenir que la Unión Soviética se beneficiara del conocimiento científico n**i. Esta estrategia no ocurrió solo en Argentina, sino también en otros países americanos, especialmente en Estados Unidos bajo la Operación Paperclip. Cabe destacar, además, que la Argentina alberga a la comunidad judía más grande de América Latina y la séptima más grande del mundo.
Malvinas
Tras el partido de fútbol contra Inglaterra, la selección argentina desplegó una bandera reclamando la soberanía sobre las islas Malvinas. Este gesto —histórico y legítimo— fue criticado internacionalmente.
Hechos históricos:
Las Malvinas formaban parte del Virreinato del Río de la Plata.
Tras la independencia en 1816, pasaron a ser territorio argentino.
En 1833, Inglaterra expulsó a la población argentina e implantó colonos británicos.
El referéndum de 2013 refleja la opinión de una población implantada, no la legitimidad territorial.
En Argentina el fútbol es político: constituye un espacio de movilidad social y de identidad colectiva. Pretender que el reclamo por Malvinas es «fascista» demuestra un profundo desconocimiento de la historia.
Presidente y pueblo
Muchos críticos internacionales, tanto de derecha como de izquierda, equiparan al pueblo argentino con Javier Milei, ignorando que gran parte de la población —incluyendo a los sectores progresistas— está intentando sobrevivir a su gobierno.
El gobierno de Milei se caracteriza por:
Posicionarse bajo una línea de corte fascista y un fuerte alineamiento sionista internacional.
Recortar medicamentos para pacientes oncológicos.
Desfinanciar los hospitales y las universidades públicas.
Reducir las jubilaciones y las pensiones por discapacidad.
Reprimir protestas de manera semanal.
Promover reformas laborales regresivas.
Buscar la privatización del sector de energía nuclear.
Alinear su política exterior con figuras como Netanyahu y Trump, sin representar la opinión de todo el país.
La mayoría de los argentinos no comparte su postura sobre Israel ni su agenda internacional. Las leyes impulsadas por su gestión benefician a los tecnorricos, especialmente a Peter Thiel, quien busca instalar en la Patagonia granjas de generación energética para proyectos de inteligencia artificial y tecnologías avanzadas.
Asimismo, el gobierno actual intenta eliminar las restricciones a la compra de tierras por parte de capitales extranjeros y promueve inversiones que profundizan el extractivismo, reproduciendo el modelo económico impuesto históricamente por los Estados Unidos, en sintonía con las lógicas del Plan Cóndor.
Campaña online
Una parte significativa de la campaña antiargentina está siendo impulsada por Team Jorge, un grupo especializado en operaciones digitales. Esta campaña de odio debilita y deshumaniza al pueblo argentino, facilitando el avance tecnofascista.
Por favor, no contribuyan a la difusión del odio en línea. Si realmente quieren ayudar, compartan información clave que permita desmontar narrativas falsas y simplificaciones peligrosas. Retóricas como «España = Palestina» y «Argentina = Israel», repetidas con liviandad por figuras públicas, son reduccionismos crueles que borran historias, contextos y responsabilidades.
Con la misma lógica simplista, alguien podría afirmar que España representa la monarquía, la colonización y el imperialismo, mientras que Argentina encarna la independencia y la lucha por la soberanía popular. Condenar a todo un país desde una posición de superioridad moral y utilizar el genocidio del pueblo palestino como plataforma de autoridad ética —como han hecho algunas celebridades europeas y estadounidenses que se identifican como progresistas, entre ellas Samuel L. Jackson, Patti Smith, Rosalía o Yanis Varoufakis— reproduce una mirada eurocéntrica que persiste incluso en discursos que se presentan como emancipadores.
Ser progresista no elimina el eurocentrismo ni el centrismo estadounidense, y reconocerlo es fundamental para evitar que estas narrativas refuercen prejuicios y alimenten campañas de desinformación.
A nuestra familia latinoamericana: por favor no reproduzcan odio generalizado. Nuestra región debe mantenerse unida frente al imperialismo. Las redes sociales amplifican prejuicios y emociones negativas; es necesario frenar, informarse y conversar con profundidad. Pensar.

Don´t cry for me, Argentina
In recent weeks, an international anti-Argentine digital campaign has emerged with the aim of spreading hatred toward the Argentine people. The phenomenon began during the Football World Cup, especially after the match against Jordan, and quickly amplified across social media and global outlets.
Its cross-sectional nature —involving people from both the right and left, from core and peripheral countries, racialized and white individuals, and across various educational levels— reveals that many participate without sufficient information, in some cases without even knowing where Argentina is on the map. This campaign, which started with fake news and tweets, has already materialized into episodes of violence and racism against Argentine immigrants in different countries, and New Zealand is no exception.
Our objective here is twofold: to dismantle the narrative of hatred and to redirect attention toward those who truly benefit from this operation: the techno-rich with concrete geopolitical interests and the Argentine oligarchy, well known as the «vende patria» (homeland sellers).
Anti-Argentinism
The expression "anti-Argentine campaign" is not new. During the last civic-military dictatorship (1976–1983), the de facto government accused the international press of orchestrating a campaign against it to deny accusations of crimes against humanity. The fact that this narrative resurfaces during the government of Javier Milei —characterized by fascist-leaning policies and alignment with foreign agendas— is no coincidence.
Argentina is a complex country, with a history shaped by colonization, mass migrations, and struggles for sovereignty:
The Argentine territory was originally inhabited by diverse Indigenous peoples and later violently colonized by Spain.
Independence was consolidated in 1816.
The 1853 Constitution established equality before the law regardless of race; there were never any apartheid laws or prohibitions on in*******al marriage.
The Migration Law No. 25,871 treats irregular migration status as an administrative infraction rather than a criminal offense, guaranteeing free access to public health and education.
Argentina is profoundly multicultural: the majority of the population is mestizo, with Indigenous, Afro-Argentine, and European, Arab, and Armenian immigrant heritage.
The Afro-Argentine demographic decline is explained by epidemics, census manipulation, and forced participation in the War of the Triple Alliance (1864–1870).
The Conquest of the Desert (1870s–1880s) involved violent state repression against Indigenous peoples.
Between 1880 and 1930, millions of European and Middle Eastern immigrants arrived; many fled wars and famines, while others were persecuted by fascism.
1949 Constitution: Peron modified the original constitutional article that obligated the State to "maintain peaceful relations with the Indians and promote their conversion to Catholicism." This phrase was removed to formally grant them full citizen status.
The Rural Worker Statute (Estatuto del Peón de Campo): Originally enacted on October 8, 1944. Later, its regulations were extended to Indigenous workers to curb semi-feudal exploitation in sugar mills and cotton harvests.
1973: The Directorate of the Aboriginal (Dirección del Aborigen) was created, and the Triennial Plan was launched, which included the free allocation of land to marginalized communities.
2010 (Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity): Through Decree No. 1584/2010, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner transformed the traditional October 12 "Columbus Day" (Día de la Raza) to promote historical reflection and respect toward Indigenous peoples.
The accusation that "Argentina is racist because it does not have enough Black people" is a simplification that ignores this history. Measuring racism by counting Black people is, in itself, a racist metric.
Argentina, like any society, has racist elements. However, the current campaign uses isolated videos to build a generalized narrative, ignoring the historical and social context. Countries with active colonial structures —including monarchies and states with police forces that persecute immigrants or where police violence against Black people is systematic— project their own flaws onto Argentina to wash away their guilt and deflect attention from their own practices.
Na**sm
Part of the attack also links Argentines to Na**sm due to the arrival of war criminals after World War II. This occurred, in part, due to an international anti-communist policy that sought to prevent the Soviet Union from benefiting from N**i scientific know-how. This strategy did not only happen in Argentina but also in other American nations, most notably the United States under Operation Paperclip. It is also worth noting that Argentina is home to the largest Jewish community in Latin America and the seventh largest in the world.
Malvinas
Following the football match against England, the Argentine national team displayed a banner claiming sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands. This gesture —historical and legitimate— was criticized internationally.
Historical facts:
The Malvinas were part of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata.
Following independence in 1816, they became Argentine territory.
In 1833, Britain expelled the Argentine population and implanted British settlers.
The 2013 referendum reflects the opinion of an implanted population, not territorial legitimacy.
In Argentina, football is political: it constitutes a space for social mobility and collective identity. Claiming that the demand for the Malvinas is "fascist" demonstrates a profound ignorance of history.
President and People
Many international critics, from both the right and left, equate the Argentine people with Javier Milei, ignoring that a large portion of the population —including progressive sectors— is simply trying to survive his government.
The Milei government is characterized by:
Positioning itself along a fascist-leaning line and a strong international Zionist alignment.
Cutting off medications for oncology patients.
Defunding public hospitals and universities.
Reducing pensions and disability benefits.
Repressing protests on a weekly basis.
Promoting regressive labor reforms.
Seeking the privatization of the nuclear energy sector.
Aligning its foreign policy with figures like Netanyahu and Trump, without representing the majority opinion of the country.
The majority of Argentines do not share his stance on Israel or his international agenda. The laws pushed by his administration benefit the techno-rich, especially Peter Thiel, who seeks to set up energy-generation farms in Patagonia for artificial intelligence projects and advanced technologies.
Furthermore, the current government attempts to eliminate restrictions on land purchases by foreign capital and promotes investments that deepen extractivism, reproducing the economic model historically imposed by the United States, in line with the logic of Operation Condor.
Online Campaign
A significant portion of the anti-Argentine campaign is being driven by Team Jorge, a group specialized in digital operations. This hate campaign weakens and dehumanizes the Argentine people, facilitating this techno-fascist advance.
Please do not contribute to the spread of online hatred. If you truly want to help, share key information that allows us to dismantle false narratives and dangerous simplifications. Rhetoric like "Spain = Palestine" and "Argentina = Israel," repeated carelessly by public figures, are cruel reductions that erase history, context, and responsibility.
Using the same simplistic logic, one could argue that Spain represents monarchy, colonization, and imperialism, while Argentina embodies independence and the struggle for popular sovereignty. Condemning an entire country from a position of moral superiority and using the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people as a platform for ethical authority —as some European and American celebrities who identify as progressive have done, including Samuel L. Jackson, Patti Smith, Rosalía, or Yanis Varoufakis— reproduces a Eurocentric gaze that persists even in discourses that present themselves as emancipatory.
Being progressive does not eliminate Eurocentrism or US-centrism, and recognizing this is fundamental to prevent these narratives from reinforcing prejudice and fueling disinformation campaigns.
To our Latin American family: please do not reproduce generalized hatred. Our region must stand united against imperialism. Social media amplifies prejudice and negative emotions; it is necessary to pause, get informed, and engage in deep conversations. To think.
