The Government has published its response to the Rules Reduction Taskforce report.
The Taskforce identified many opportunities to improve property-related rules and the Government agrees they need to be addressed.
The Government has already made changes addressing some of the Taskforce’s concerns, while other changes will require more time.
For the full Government response see: http://www.RulesReduction.govt.nz

People are often frustrated by local rules and property regulations making life more difficult than it needs to be. The Government is pursuing opportunities to reduce frustrating rules that are holding our communities back.
