Wellington City Libraries We are the Wellington City Libraries network of 12 libraries, with our central library located in the beautiful Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui.

Discover books, magazines, eLibrary, movies, music and more, all with your WCL library card. Wellington City Libraries and Community Spaces is 14 libraries and 5 community centres. Our libraries, located in Miramar, Kilbirnie, Island Bay, Newtown, Brooklyn, Wellington CBD, Wadestown, Karori, Ngaio, Khandallah, Johnsonville, and Tawa provide access to hundreds of thousands of books, magazines, CDs,

DVDs and other items. Our collections include New Zealand's first public zine library collection, music scores, vinyl, along with eBooks, eAudio, streaming movies and eMagazines. 🗯 International Free Comic Book Day is coming to Te Matapihi Central Library on Saturday 13 June!

✏️ We're celebrating with talks and demonstrations from graphic artists Sam Orchard, Sarah Laing and Jem Yoshioka 10-11.30am as well as free comic books from 9am! There's also a drawing competition in three different age categories.

👉 All of the Free Comic Book Day events will be happening in the bleachers area on the ground floor of Te Matapihi Central Library. Everyone is welcome; kuhu mai! Join us!

👋 Join us at Te Matapihi Central Library at 10.30am on Thursday 4 June for a special Baby Rock & Rhyme session to celebrate! This session will be in Sāmoan and English to celebrate our Sāmoan community and the beauty of the language.
