Its been over 10 years since sam lost his 11 year battle with cancer.

However close friends and extended friends continue to celebrate his life with an annual golf comp in the UK. See below for this years update. (photos to come). Good on you ladies and gents.

"We had another great day at Surrey National a few weeks ago, with 28 golfers turning out for the 11th annual Sam Bowie Memorial Golf Tournament. In a notable effort, we saw the first two-time brown-jacket winner (Doug Simpson), who took the honours with his father-in-law (also a first).

We raised NZ$2630 for the charity, thanks to the attendees and generous donations from some of the guys who were unable to make it on the day. I'll transfer the money to the Trust this week.

I also have some highly entertaining video footage, so will piece a few clips together and circulate over the next week or two."
