Hampton Hill School - Tawa

Hampton Hill School - Tawa Growing people to thrive in the world! The school opened in 1965 and presently provides education for students in Years 0 to 6.

Hampton Hill School is nestled in parklike surroundings in the hills of Tawa. The school opened in 1965 and presently provides education for students
in Years 0 to 6. It is renowned for its “family” atmosphere. We believe that high quality teaching and building positive relationships between students, staff and parents are the most important factors to ensure our children are reaching their poten

tial. Staff, Board and parents work closely to provide a safe, supportive, stimulating learning environment for the children. We welcome and encourage parent/caregiver participation in all areas of school life. Research shows that when parents and caregivers take an active and supportive interest in the school, children develop positive attitudes to learning and achieve accordingly.

Kia ora e te whānau,

In light of the current State of Emergency due to significant rain and wind, the School Board has made the decision that school will be closed for instruction tomorrow, Tuesday, 21st April.

Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Given the unpredictable conditions, the Board feels it is essential to prioritise safe travel to and from the grounds. Additionally, we must ensure safety on the school site itself, which—due to the strong winds—cannot be guaranteed at this stage.

Key Information:

Status: School Closed tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 April.

Reason: Safety concerns regarding travel and infrastructure during the State of Emergency.

We understand that school closures can be disruptive, and we thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate these circumstances together.

Please stay safe and follow the guidance of local emergency authorities.

Ngā mihi nui,

Hampton Hill School Board
