Newly appointed Secretariat Executive Director, Aaron Holloway, has conducted his first in-person member engagement, paying a courtesy visit to Fiji Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu, in Suva 🇫🇯

The new Pacific Island Chief of Police (PICP) Executive Director Aaron Holloway paid a courtsey visit to the Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu at the Fiji Police headquarters today.

Commissioner Tudravu congratulated Mr Holloway for his appointment, adding he looked forward to working towards the shared goal of making the blue pacific safer for all.

The Fiji Police Commissioner said collaboration between PICP members continues to gain momentum, adding continuity among young leaders is crucial in ensuring the sustainability of PICP supported programs.

Mr Holloway is a senior New Zealand Police leader with more than 23 years of service, bringing extensive experience in transnational organised crime, gangs, illicit drugs.

Throughout his career, he has held a range of leadership positions in complex multi-agency environments, working both domestically and internationally, with a particular focus on the Pacific region.

“It’s an honor for me to be here as it is important for me in my new role to get out and meet Police chiefs and commissioners,” said Mr Holloway.

The new PICP Executive Director said that Fiji at the moment is seen as a leader in pacific policing.

The Fiji Police Force is a member of the PICP which brings together Pacific Police Chiefs to exchange information, share learnings, and form regional agreements.

We acknowledge with great sadness the recent passing of Chief Stephen Ignacio of the Guam Police Department, and honour his life and service.

Chief Ignacio represented Guam with great distinction and was held in the highest regard by his peers across the region. His service, leadership, and commitment to our region will not be forgotten.

At this difficult time, our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
