Last night at the Lower Hutt Town Hall, the Rongotai College Southern Voices Chorus proudly performed two pieces at the Young Singers in Harmony NZ Regionals. Competing for the first time, the boys showed tremendous courage, pride, and talent on stage. Despite early nerves, they delivered an outstanding performance and made history by earning 2nd place in their section. Their achievement is a testament to the power of hard work, commitment, and teamwork. Ka pai, boys — we look forward to seeing what comes next!

Massive congratulations to Harvey Revell (Y11) for an incredible performance at last month's NZ National Age Group Swimming Championships in Hastings! 🏊‍♂️

Representing his club, Nga Tai Tūātea a Taraika, Harvey qualified for seven events and reached four finals, competing against the ten fastest 15-year-olds in the country. He secured fantastic 4th place finishes in the 200m and 400m Individual Medleys, plus 5th in the 200m Freestyle and 200m Butterfly.

Over five days, Harvey achieved personal bests in six races. His consistent training and excellent race judgment have truly paid off. We are so proud! 👏🌟

Our Pacific Health Academy students recently explored the biomechanics of weightlifting with incredible guidance from Phil Silverman! A Weltec lecturer and former New Zealand Commonwealth Games weightlifter, Phil shared his immense talent and expertise with the boys over the last two weeks.

This practical focus on applied health science is fantastic. It not only empowers our students to improve their own health and physical wellbeing but also opens their eyes to exciting career pathways in the Health Sciences.

Want to get involved? We have a few spaces left for Māori and Pacific students. Encourage your boys to sign up today!
