We're happy to announce that the new Tuvalu adult passport application form is now operational for new passport applications. All applications are to be completed online via our website portal.

A significant change with the new passport application form is Section B (The applicant's entitlement to a Tuvaluan passport). Please read the instructions carefully before submitting an application. The platform also allows you to track your passport application process instead of contacting us by email.

The Tuvalu High Commission in Wellington acknowledges with appreciation the recent engagement between the Pasifika Medical Association (PMA) Group and the Tuvalu delegation, led by the Honourable Minister of Health, Mr Tuafafa Latasi.

During the meeting held on 9 July 2026, the Minister was accompanied by the Secretary of Health, Ms Corinna Ituaso Laafai, and First Secretary Mr Niuone Eliuta. The delegation was warmly received by the PMA Group, reflecting the strong and growing partnership between Tuvalu and regional health organisations.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration to support improved health outcomes for the people of Tuvalu, as well as advancing shared priorities across the Pacific region. The High Commission recognises the invaluable role played by the Pasifika Medical Association in delivering health services, workforce development, and community support initiatives that benefit Pacific communities.

The Tuvalu High Commission looks forward to building on this partnership and continuing to work closely with PMA Group and other stakeholders to enhance healthcare delivery and resilience in Tuvalu.

On the 16 June 2026, the Tuvalu High Commission in Wellington hosted a courtesy visit by the Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Kiribati, Dr. Tearinaki Patiale Tanielu, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Pacific regional cooperation.

Dr. Tanielu was accompanied by the New Zealand High Commissioner to Kiribati, His Excellency Pati Gagau. The visit provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue on diplomatic representation and operational experiences in New Zealand.

Discussions focused on Kiribati’s intention to establish a diplomatic presence in Wellington. The Tuvalu High Commission in Wellington hosted the quarterly meeting of the Pacific Heads of Missions (PIHOM) on 12 June at its office in Wellington, bringing together representatives from Pacific diplomatic missions based in New Zealand.

The meeting served as an important platform for member countries to share updates and discuss current developments across the region. Heads of Mission and representatives from Niue, the Cook Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands attended the session.

Yesterday, First Secretary Niuone Eliuta met the Dutch Ambassador to Tuvalu H.E. Ard van der Vorst (based in Wellington)

The meeting focused on recent developments in Tuvalu and the strong friendship between the two countries. They discussed elements of partnership for both countries.
Discussions also covered the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project (TCAP) and other climate and environmental challenges. First Secretary Eliuta encouraged the Netherlands and European Union delegates to attend the upcoming Pre-COP event in Tuvalu.

The two sides also discussed the revival of Tuvalu-Netherlands sport diplomacy.
