The Karori Community Centre is closed as are we tomorrow, due to that great Monday-ised public holiday of ANZAC Day remembrance.

I'm sorry but it's another self-serve on Monday. I will be dropping off some new 500pc acquisitions before then, so for you 500 fans, keep an eye out.

Both puzzles chosen by the people joining in for Puzzle Club social puzzling last Sunday were 1000pc endeavours donated to the Karori Jigsaw Puzzle Library by Alice.

One easier than the other, unfortunately only the Found Alphabet was completed that afternoon but eventually the other was ticked off as well.

Do we have more takers for Puzzle Club? Shall we reconvene for some more Sunday social puzzling?

I hope you are all enjoying the break. The fun about holidays is getting to do what you want to do, not what you should be doing! Me, I'm fiddling with piece replacement algorithms.

If you are doing a puzzle over the holidays with a missing piece, bag up separately the pieces around it and drop it all with me. You can be part of my guinea pig plan :-)

Yes, Christmas is coming and we have a range of puzzles to get you in the swing of it. Come by during opening hours, or message me and you can pick it up directly from me. Preference to those who can turn them around in a week or so to give everyone a chance at the favourites, or if they're not a Wasgij fan. If you're a leisurely puzzler and still keen, get in touch. Any Christmas puzzle loans for the period will also be gratefully received.

Unfortunately we aren't open tomorrow Labour Day and heads up it will be an unaccompanied session the following Monday. In the meantime we are featuring a couple of fabulous puzzle brands.

eeBoo are a great fit in a colourful range including some fabulous circular puzzles, and The New York Puzzle Company produce a variety of New Yorker magazine covers with irregular shaped pieces for added interest. Thanks to Gill, Barbara and other donors for the great selection the library has of these brands.
