On Monday Neil Mallon, UDL Commissioner was on Morning Report with John Campbell discussing the rising cost of living and how that is impacting consumers especially regarding energy bills.

We are in the privileged position of being able to work with kiwi consumers and power companies to resolve complaints, restore trust and identify systemic issues that can be fixed to improve services for all consumers.

Utilities Disputes has been doing this for the last 25 years, and has the data and experience that can make a real difference.

In the last two years we have helped around 47,000 kiwis and sort their complaints and queries and we are grateful to RNZ for the opportunity to share a little bit about the work we do.

A link to the interview is below.

The Utilities Disputes Commissioner said the organisation had received a record number of 13,554 complaints in the last year.
