On behalf of the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand and the Cretans Association of New Zealand, we would like to sincerely thank you for your participation in this year’s 85th Anniversary Commemoration for the Battle of Crete.
We are especially grateful for your kind words at the Memorial Church Service and for your help and support before and during the Hellenic Military Delegation’s visit. Your attendance added a sense of honour, warmth, and dignity to the commemorations and was deeply appreciated by all who gathered.
It was a meaningful acknowledgement of the enduring bonds between our nations, forged through the shared sacrifices of the Greek, Australian, New Zealand, and British Forces in Crete in 1941.
The Cretan People, here and all over the world, remain forever grateful to all those who served.
May their memory be eternal.
