Got questions about the move to PDF Medical Certificates?đ
Weâve published FAQs on our website to help explain whatâs changing and what it means for you.
From 1 July, Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers will receive their CAA medical Certificates as PDFs by email from their Medical Examiner, replacing laminated certificates sent by post. You can use your certificate:
⢠as a printed copy
⢠on your device
⢠or keep using your current laminated one (if still valid)
Nothingâs changing about whatâs required, there are still three parts:
⢠Medical Certificate
⢠Medical Assessment Report
⢠Covering letter (if referenced)
Benefits include:
â
Faster delivery
â
No waiting for the post
â
Easy reprints if lost
â
No need to return certificates if suspended/disqualified (for PDFs)
đ Please note, the new PDF certificates will still be issued by Medical Examiners.
If you lose your device, just contact us and weâll resend your certificate. As always, CAA holds the official register. Questions? Get in touch: [email protected]
