Regional investment funding has been a feature of every government NZ First has been a part of. The West Coast has many examples of funded and delivered projects to show for it.
A VOTE FOR NZ FIRST will see that continue, A VOTE FOR JAMIE CLEINE will ensure the WEST COAST TASMAN gets it’s fair share.

As we have been saying……..time that we recognise the value of NZ Citizenship. Lets build back some pride in what it is to be a New Zealander, that isn’t something we should shy away from.

Great weekend in Westport. I went and checked out the Westport Garden Club Annual Spring Flower show. The winner of the day was the flowers, and Mum of course! The weather has been tough on gardeners so far this spring so the quality on display was a credit to all. It was a nice opportunity to chat and catch up with the locals buy a couple of plants and a few raffle tickets to support the club.

I was very pleased to sign this open letter in support of the Buller Plateaux Continuation project. It is too important for the West Coast for political parties and candidates to sit on the fence on this issue. NZ First unashamedly supports this industry and so do I.
If you want to support Buller I encourage you to follow the link and sign up too. Our local voice must be heard and respected, this is your chance.

👉🏻This is about more than coal. It’s about our future.

A group of community members from Buller have come together to make sure the voices of those who support the continuation of Stockton Mine are heard. We’ve created an Open Letter supporting the Buller Plateaux Continuation Project.

Why?

The continuation of the mine reaches far beyond the mine itself. It affects the families who rely on the jobs, the over 100 local businesses Stockton supports, the schools and clubs, and every person in a district that has already lived through one major industry collapse, multiple closures, and does not want to go backwards again.

We also say plainly that mining has environmental impacts and people hold different views about them. Our support does not mean support at any cost.

📖✏️Read the letter and, if you agree, add your name at ourbullerfuture.nz

Anyone can sign: residents, business owners, people who work here, former residents and supporters from elsewhere in New Zealand and around the world.

✏️Prefer pen and paper? We have signature sheets available too. Get in touch and we’ll get some to you.

It’s whitebait season and last year I did a podcast discussing the significance of whitebait to Maori and community. Our electorate is huge and our communities are diverse, but one could say that whitebait is one of the things that are similar from Golden Bay to Haast. Everyone has a whitebait story or makes a little cash during the season. We should never underestimate the values and the lifestyle that makes West Coast Tasman and New Zealand a unique place to live. Link to the full podcast in the comments.

Who remembers the emphatic rejection of co-governance that Labour tried to impose on New Zealand.
Well Labour wants to bring back co-governance but call it a different name because it “scares people”. Labour is driving separatism in NZ.
NZ FIRST says we are ONE PEOPLE, ONE FLAG, ONE COUNTRY and ONE LAW for all New Zealanders.
PARTY VOTE NZ FIRST - your country depends on it.

These hoardings are huge but so is the opportunity for West Coast Tasman. New Zealand First is the party that supports regional New Zealand all the time, not just turning up in election year. I feel very much the same having a track record of fighting for the West Coast for 10 years and living in the West Coast Tasman my whole life. Finally we have a political party and a candidate that see’s opportunity and growth for our region that will benefit every resident through jobs, better infrastructure, cheaper groceries and electricity.
TWO TICKS NZ FIRST this election will give us the GREATEST INFLUENCE IN PARLIAMENT. JAMIE CLEINE as your CANDIDATE and NEW ZEALAND FIRST as your PARTY VOTE.

Tourism is one of the West Coast–Tasman region’s great economic opportunities — but growth must work for the communities hosting our visitors. NZ First believes in thriving, sustainable regions and ensuring our communities are visitor-ready, with the infrastructure needed to benefit both locals and visitors. That means backing tourism while making sure the regions providing the experiences, facilities and infrastructure get a fair return from the success they help create. New Zealand First
