Huge mihi to Kohutapu Lodge & Tribal Tours for their incredible achievement in winning the New Zealand Tourism Award for Toroa a-tua, Toroa a-tai Māori tourism!
Their dedication to creating genuine and transformative experiences for our manuhiri is inspiring, and the impact of their hard mahi ripples back to benefit iwi, hapū, marae, and whānau. A big shoutout as well to Tio Ōhiwa Oysters & Takeaways for their finalist spot—what a fantastic representation of our rohe! Let's keep supporting these champions of Māori tourism. Ka mau te wehi! 🌟

Shoutout to Sterling Heights Rigging and Scaffolding 🙌

A massive mihi to the amazing local team at Sterling Heights, based in Te Teko/Kawerau, for stepping up and supporting one of our rangatahi with an industry taster! 🏗️ Your dedication, time, resources, patience, and skill—essentially coming out of your own pocket—mean the world to us. Your willingness to give our young people a glimpse into the world of scaffolding and rigging is truly inspiring. Opportunities like this spark passion and help guide our rangatahi toward future careers. 🔥
Another big mihi to our whānau for chipping in with old work boots so our rangatahi didn't miss out on this chance. It truly takes a village, and you've shown how community support can overcome barriers when no other options are opening up. 👢💛

Big shoutout also to our local businesses Sterling Heights, Allthesands Coffee, and many others who generously offer their time, staff, and expertise to help our rangatahi thrive. 🛠️ Every effort brings us closer to a thriving, skilled community. Let’s continue to uplift our young ones and open doors for them! 🌱💪

A huge mihi to everyone who attended—I'm sure we all walked away with lifted spirits and elevated vibrations. The intimate setting allowed for real, honest connections, and genuine discussions about the highs, lows, and everything in between on our business journeys.
A special shoutout to Raniera Rewiri, owner of the Planting Seeds Podcast and the uplifting Te Ara Hou wānanga. In just 10 minutes, Raniera shifted the energy of the entire room, sparking vibrant kōrero around business, mindset, goals, and life. 💡

Maybe one of our local pahiki will feature in a future podcast 👀😊
