Basketball tomorrow. The Year 3-4 will play at 3.30pm-4.00pm and both Year 5-6 teams will play from 4.00pm- 4.30pm.

🏀 Year 7 & 8 Basketball 🏀

Tomorrow all of our Year 7 & 8 tamariki will be travelling from school to McKay Stadium with Mr T and Kat. The day will run from 10am–1.30pm.

All tamariki will require:

Appropriate shoes
Morning tea
Lunch
A drink bottle

We are looking forward to a fun day of basketball!

RURAL SCHOOLS PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION 📸

Year 0-2 Tamariki

Rugby Tournament – Maromaku
Next Friday, 15th May, our school will be travelling to Maromaku for the day to take part in the annual rugby competition for our Year 3–8 tamariki.

Tuatahi tamariki (years 0-2) are asked to either remain at home on this day, or you are welcome to bring them along to support at the event.

Please note that there will be no supervision available at school, as all staff will be attending the tournament.

If your tamariki is year 0-2 can you please call the office and let Miss Laurel know your plans for your tamariki next Friday. This will save her a lot of time. Or please leave a comment below, staying home, attending tournament with us etc!

MATARIKI NOHO 2026 ✨

This year our Matariki Noho will take place here at kura on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th of June.

On Thursday, tamariki will arrive at school by bus or can be dropped off by parents/caregivers. All tamariki will need to bring a mattress, sleeping bag, and pillow.

Throughout the noho, tamariki will move through a range of activities during the normal school day. We will also be working alongside Whaea T as a whole kura for short sessions across both Thursday and Friday.

Our tamariki have each voted for 3 activities they would like to participate in. They chose from:

- Fishing off the bridge
- Advanced fishing
- Making glass lanterns
- Hobo stoves
- Kite making
- Hīkoi
- Traditional Māori games

We will require some support on both Thursday and Friday to awhi us with running these activities. If you are available to help for all or part of the noho, we would love to hear from you.

- Sleeping arrangements
- Ways you can help
