Bushy Park Tarapuruhi Bushy Park Tarapuruhi, Forest Sanctuary and Historic Homestead. Wildlife, visitor centre, walking tracks, accommodation, tours, refreshments, venue hire.

Free entry, donations welcome. Sanctuary open daylight hours. Homestead open 10am-4pm, Wed- Sunday. Homestead is closed Monday and Tuesday for Food and Beverage service. Park and Sanctuary still open as normal during daylight hours.

Spend four days in a beautiful historic homestead, with everything taken care of — home-cooked meals, watercolour workshops, guided yoga, and forest walks in a sanctuary where you can allow birdsong to replace the noise.

$849 includes twin share accommodation, all meals, art tuition, and yoga.

We’re hiring at Tarapuruhi Bushy Park!

Do you love working with people and the environment? This role may be perefct for you!

We’re looking for a part-time Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator to help grow and support the incredible community of volunteers who care for our predator-free sanctuary. You’ll be the friendly face welcoming new volunteers, coordinating workdays, building relationships, and helping to share the story of this special place.

This role is a unique mix of people, purpose, and hands-on conservation; from organising systems and supporting volunteers, to getting out on the ground and making a real difference.

-Part-time (0.6 FTE)
-Based at Tarapuruhi Bushy Park, Whanganui
-Make a real impact for conservation in Aotearoa

We'll be laying 550 tracking cards across the forest to ensure we stay predator free.

📅 Tuesday 16th February 9am, meet at the workshop near the visitor centre, bring wet weather gear as the forest will be wet even if it is not raining.
