Whanganui Toy Library provides a great range of educational toys and puzzles to Whanganui families

We are open EVERY Thursday (9.30am - 11.30am) & EVERY Saturday (10.00am - 12.00pm) of the month. Families can borrow 3 toys per child (for 2 weeks), plus additional puzzles. The Toy Library is a great place to meet other fantastic families, saves you LOTS of money (no need to buy toys when you can borrow!), provides your children with a super variety of toys and allow you to try out toys before pe

rhaps buying. We have different memberships as follows:
1. $80 no duties
2. $45 4 duties in 12 months
3. $30 no duties trial for 3 months
4. $30 no duties 6 visits in 12 months (Great for Grandparents!)

and all toys are $1.00 per hire

Level up bedtime with our amazing interactive Gingerbread Man storybook! 📖✨ Each character comes with its own adorable hand puppet, making storytime an adventure your little ones won't forget. Just one of the many treasures at our toy library. Come on down and check it out!

Heads up, toy lovers! 🧸
Our website, setis, will be down for scheduled maintenance this Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM. This means you won't be able to hire or renew your favorite toys during that time.

🥳 A massive thank you to all the incredible organisations that supported our toy library in the last financial year!

🙏 Your generous grants from TLFNZ Lotteries, COGS, Four Regions, Lions Foundation, Mainland, Margaret Watt, One Foundation, Pub Charity, T G McCarthy, Whanganui Community Foundation, and Whanganui District Council have been instrumental in keeping our doors open and the fun going.

🧸 This funding has allowed us to purchase new toys, upgrade our technology with a new laptop, cover essential wages, improve our storage solutions, and manage other vital operational costs. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to our mission and for helping us continue to bring joy and play to so many families.

As promised, we are going to share our language resources with you! Firstly, we’ve got some fantastic French and Samoan language blocks at the library

This week, we celebrated toy libraries and their incredible benefits.

🗣️Did you know that our toy library has a wide variety of toys that help develop communication skills? We have bilingual learning resources like Te Reo, sign language toys, French learning tools, and more! Playing with your child also significantly boosts their communication abilities and vastly improves their vocabulary!
