Kia ora whānau

It is that time of year when enrolments need to be completed for our Yr 8 students for 2027. Our secondary schools are in the middle of their enrolment processes. If you haven't already enrolled your child please start taking steps to do so. We encourage you to look at all the options. Enrolments completed now, mean students have a clear direction of where they are headed and transitions can be planned for.

We have a message from Whanganui High School:

"From Monday (15 June to 30 June) our Principal, Martin McAllen, will begin School Tours for Year 8 students and their whanau to have a look around our school. It would be appreciated if you could you let your Year 8 parents and caregivers know that Whanganui High School is conducting Tours during the last two weeks of this Term. A Tour can be booked through this link. High school tour bookings

Enrolment Forms are available from Whanganui High School main reception office."

Kia ora whānau,

An important reminder for all of our Year 8 ākonga and their whānau.

Following our secondary schools roadshow on Friday, we hope you are all beginning to think about 2027 schooling options for your student.

This term is when most secondary schools hold their open days/evenings, and many schools prefer enrolments to be completed by the end of the term.

Important dates to note:

• Girls’ College – Open Evening has already been held

• Cullinane College – 2 June

• WHS – Guided whānau tours can be booked later in the year

• City College - Encourage personal ‘meet, greet and tour’ arranged at the school office to suit

For any further enquiries, please contact the office of your chosen school directly.

Ngā Mihi.
