NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2026
Te Oranganui Trust warmly invites whānau, hapū, iwi, marae, and the community to attend its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026, to be held, Friday, 06 November at Tauranga Ika marae, Nukumaru, Waitōtara.

The AGM is an opportunity for us all to come together, to celebrate our collective achievements, to reflect on the key events of the past year, and to reset our pathway forward with purpose and kotahitanga.

Tena koutou,

Just a little update to let you all know that we won't be having our kaumatua luncheon this month.

It's been a difficult time for our kaimahi and whanau lately, and we feel its important to take a little time to pause and reset. We appreciate your understanding and the aroha you all continue to show us.

We'll be back next month for our early Christmas kai, and we're looking forward to finishing the year off with you all.

Kia kaha whanau. Check with all your loved ones to see if they are registered. We can only make a difference if we have a voice.

Just over 62 percent of eligible 18 to 24-year-olds are enrolled to vote - while only around half of eligible young Māori are enrolled.

To address this low enrolment Ngāti Rangi is working with Te Korowai o Wainuiarua to bring some people to the rohe, to help make it easy to enrol to vote.

Sports will include Basketball, Ki o Rahi, Euchre and more.

Just a quick reminder to our Kaumatua that our luncheon is on today. See you all at 11am.

He mihi nui ki te hunga i tautoko i tō mātau mākete pō o Puanga. Ahakoa te makariri, he pō pai rawa atu tērā! What an amazing evening for our Whanganui Community. All the stall holders had the most fantastic kai; products; and services - appreciation to you all. Mostly to everyone else that braved the cold to come out and share this evening together. Whether it was to get that bespoke item you knew would be there; to partake in the diversity of cuisine; to support our tamariki from Tawhero and their new pakihi; to learn more about our local services (Hippy and Women's Refuge) or simply to sit around the fire and enjoy the evening - thank you all for making it the success that it was. With all the excitement we forgot to get photos, so am sharing a few that we were able to get. Please feel free to either share your pictures or videos here OR tag us in if you are sharing them online. Again - he mihi miharo rawa ki a kautau, ki a tātau te whānau o Tupoho :-)
