Kamo Road Bridge Strengthening Works

Whangārei District Council will be carrying out bridge strengthening works from 20 June to 3 July 2026 (2 weeks)

Please be advised that the 4:40 pm Route 8 Southern Express service will be running approximately 15–20 minutes late today due to a mechanical breakdown.
The bus is now expected to depart around 5:00 pm.

🚧 Service Update – CityLink Route 7- WINGER Crescent 🚍

Kamo Road Bridge Strengthening Works

Whangārei District Council will be carrying out bridge strengthening works from 20 June to 3 July 2026 (2 weeks).

🚌 Bus services will continue to operate as normal, and all bus stops will remain open.

⏱️ Minor delays may occur while travelling through the area, but every effort will be made to stay on schedule.

We recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey.

We’d like to advise passengers that one of our drivers has unfortunately been taken ill, which means there will be some delays while we arrange cover for the service.
At present, Route 3 (Tikipunga via Te Kamo) is experiencing delays, and we expect disruption for approximately the next hour.

Please be advised that the SL2 Onerahi to Kamo High School bus will be departing later than usual this afternoon.

🚌 Updated arrival time: The bus is expected to arrive at Te Kamo High School at approximately 4:00 PM.

🚌 Route 2 Update – Weir Crescent (Onerahi)

Whangārei District Council is installing a new footpath along Weir Crescent, affecting CityLink Route 2 for the next 4 weeks.

Bus stop changes:

• Bus stops at 47 Weir Crescent and near the Munro Street intersection (where Munro St meets Weir Crescent) will be relocated

• Both stops will be moved approximately 50m outside the work zone

⏱️ Please check stop locations and allow a little extra time for your journey.
