Wishing you a wonderful Christmas break from the team at Lake Braemore.

It's been great to see families already enjoying time at the lake over the past month. Although water levels are slightly lower, the lake is in excellent shape for summer fun.

New signage on Riversdale Road makes the entrance easy to find, and you'll also notice new signs leading to the wetlands walking tracks - a peaceful spot you may not have discovered before.

With Kayaks available and plenty of space to relax, Lake Braemore is ready for the season ahead.

Had a visit from RNZ a few weeks ago who put together this podcast. If you're interested in finding out a little more background to the project, its probably worth listening to.

Len French wanted a lake to help with water security on his eastern Wairarapa farm. What he's built, Lake Braemore, is now a community asset that can be enjoyed by all.

Had a visit from a couple of Jet Sprint boats doing some fine tuning ready for racing in Whanganui later this week.
V8 lovers need to turn the volume up.

OPEN DAY 2024

Over the last 7 weeks the final stages of the lake construction have been taking place.
6000 tonnes of rock has been carted from.the Kaiwhata River.
Looking forward to having the lake open for camping and boating from Nov 2024

Finally after all these years. This is what this whole project is all about. As from today we have 75ha of irrigation up and running. Still working hard on getting the remaining 60ha completed
