Whitianga Toy Library At Whitianga Toy Library we have a large range of toys available to hire including outdoor toys Whitianga Toy Library is a community service run by volunteers.

We have a large selection of toys and cater for children from 0-8 with a large range of infant toys including musical toys, walkers and exersaucers, a large range of outdoor toys including cozy coupes, slides, roller coasters, bikes, and scooters, role-play toys including costumes, wooden tool benches and play kitchens, educational toys including games, puzzles, and blocks. Family: $35 per year
Grandparent: $20 per year
Concession: $80 for 5 visits including toy hire fees

Toys are hired for a period of 2 weeks for a small fee ($5 or less)

Opening Hours:
Wednesday: 9 am - 1 pm
Thursday: 12 pm - 4 pm
Friday: 12pm -4pm
Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm

Come along to our AGM on Sunday 7th June at 4PM at Whitianga Playcentre!

Our toy library is completely volunteer run, and we’d love to welcome some new faces onto the committee as we continue supporting local families in our community

We are currently looking for a Funding Coordinator to help manage grants and funding applications to keep the library running strong.

✨ We’re Looking for a Funding Coordinator ✨

The Whitianga Toy Library is on the lookout for someone to join our volunteer committee as a Funding Coordinator.

This role is a very low time commitment, around 1–2 hours per week (if that!) and would suit someone who is organised, good with numbers, or enjoys helping community organisations behind the scenes.

You’d help us keep our toy library running for local whānau by keeping an eye on funding opportunities and helping coordinate grants and support.

Experience with funding, grants, or administration would be amazing, but it’s definitely not essential, just a willingness to help and learn 😊

If you’d like to know a bit more, pop into Shop 4, Blacksmith Lane on Mondays or Wednesdays between 9am–1pm and have a chat with our librarian about the role.

We’ll have a box stocked up at the toy library, so if you’re a chocolate lover please come in and support us by buying a slab or two for just $3 each 😉

Huge thanks to the Mercury Bay Lions for their generous donation 💛

As many of you know, Whitianga Toy Library was recently on the brink of closure. We reached out to Mercury Bay Lions, and they responded with such kindness and generosity.

Their support truly helped to save the toy library, and we are thrilled that we can continue supporting our local whānau.
