I would like to introduce myself: I am standing for the Kaiapoi/Woodend Waimakariri Candidacy. During the last two years I have donated full time support for people struggling within our community. Worked with many to find solutions, and will continue to do so. We have serious issues with poverty, mental health, individuals struggling with the basic everyday needs, teenage crime and a general feeling our community is feeling unheard.
Previous to living the last three years in Woodend, I resided for 10 + years in Pegasus Town so I am well attuned to the issues of the Pegasus Lake.
You know that it is time for a change when good, honest, integral people want to make a change but are censored for it by a Government-funded media. Even to the extent LGNZ uses taxpayers money to block and discredit many good people.
My approach will address community concerns without fear of speaking out or up.
I am unafraid to address our theft under the guise of 3 Waters, Intensification housing directive from Govt , I have questions as to why LGNZ and CEO unelected officials’ overreach our Waimakariri Council.
Why have NZTA ceased funding for our roading, will this result in the rate payers picking up the tab?
Our roading is in a dangerous mess.
Woodend bypass, seems to go round in circles for years, let's get some results on this.
Climate change is a mess, we need more facts and accuracy.
The top three most expensive rating systems in NZ includes Waimakariri – Why? I would like to see the books opened for public transparency and to cease “behind closed door” meetings.
Do you, the ratepayer, wish to elect an honest, forward-speaking candidate or would you prefer the lip-service currently being operated under LGNZ’s total control?
There is more LGNZ polices to be rolled out over our community, including blocking streets, planting planterboxes, to also remove and destroy motoring.
My community is at the heart and centre and top priority for me. I have been working at ground level within our communities which are struggling daily, on basic everyday issues.
Let's look at using red zone land for mobile community homes, with community shared gardens and resources.
Do you know who's buying this valuable resource?
Let's create space for youth to create, have fun
Whether it's an escape room of code breaking challenges, a state rink or bowling alley.
We need to explore something...Now
My ideals are: “What can I do for you?” rather than “What is in it for me?”
Please feel free to discuss any community issues or concerns you may have. My number is openly displayed on my posters – 0274 767 326.

Lastly, I would like to congratulate all candidates standing and I wish you all the very best for an honest and fair election.
