URGENT!

At last nights AGM , The Pool Trust were unable to fill vital committee positions. Our amazing Kim Grant and Emma Day have resigned from their long standing, hard working, diligent and inspirational roles as Treasurer and Secretary of the Trust. The swimming pool is in great condition as is the financial situation. However without new community members becoming involved, the swimming pool will simply be unable to operate within its constitution.

THE URGENT SPECIAL MEETING IS NEXT MONDAY 28th SEPTEMBER & HOPEFULLY WORKING BEE THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND. WE ALL WANT THE POOL OPEN, BUT THE DWINDLING COMMITTEE CAN NOT SHOULDER THE RESPONSIBILITY ALONE.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY ON HERO OR CALL KIM GRANT 0276342609 & COME TO SPECIAL MEETING NEXT MONDAY 7pm SCHOOL STAFFROOM.

A HUGE Congratulations to ex Woodlands Primary School pupils Jack Brock and Finn Hurley for their amazing achievement!

Congratulations to the following four players from Southland, named to take part in the 2026 National U18 Pathway Programme in Hamilton.

Awesome achievements for all four of these young men, a very proud moment for their whānau, school and the individuals themselves. Also a great reward for all these boys as they have had great seasons with Southland Boys High School. Also deserving a special mention is Brock Reid, who is unavailable for New Zealand Barbarian Under 18 selection due to injury.

We look forward to seeing them test themselves against international opponents and working with them in the future.

Kia ora e te whānau, Kumusta, Dear all,

Tomorrow morning our school buses run as usual.

Please make sure your child is dressed in school uniform and fluro vest, and that they have morning tea, lunch and a drink bottle (No heat ups). Girls hair is either a top head of hair tie back or a ponytail. Please make sure children have shorts and vest underneath their clothes for easy changing.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow, but if you are unable please do see the livestream channel.

We are all looking forward to a day of participation that demonstrates our inclusive and supportive school culture and values of Whakaute, Kaha & Manaakitanga. Our students have been so caring and supportive of each others individual strengths and characteristics.

9am School day starts as usual

9:30am Buses depart school to ILT Stadium

10.00-11.00 am Watch performances

11.00 -11.45 an Keum in Velodrome (with lots of other schools)

11.45-12.00 Lunch probably in Velodrome

12.00-12.10 Practice in Velodrome

12.10-12.35 Changing in our designated area

12.35 - 12:50pm Back stage in designated area

12:55pm Performance, followed by photos

1:25pm Change

1.30-2.15pm Watch performances (if parents wish to take their own children home at this point, please see your child's teacher for roll before leaving)

2:30pm Buses returning to school for end of day

3pm Buses and pickup as usual.
