HE Pankaj Khimji, Advisor on International Trade and Investment of the Sultanate of Oman paid an official visit to Sri Lanka from 12th to 14th August 2026 during which he called on Primeminister Harini Amerasuriya, Trade Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe,Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath and Deputy Minister of Finance Anil Jayantha Fernando.Mr Khimji who is also President of Oman Cricket met with the Board of Directors of Sri Lanka Cricket and also adreesed a special assembly of the National Chamber of Commerce.Mr Khimji was accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry of Trade and Commerce of Oman.Discussions focused on mechanisms for enhancing bilateral trade and investment.

Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism Ms. Aruni Ranaraja paid an official visit to Oman from 1st to 3rd August 2026.Ms Ranaraja held Bilateral Consultations with Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs H.E Shiekh Khaliffa and Under Secretary of the Labour Ministry H.E Khalid Al Gammari. The Foreign Secretary also was Guest Speaker at a Special Event at the Diplomatic Academy of Muscat
