An awe-inspiring place to set up the tents, this happened on our 8-day hike on Ausangate Sibinacocha + Rainbow Mountain in the Vilcanota highland region of Cusco where we covered a mileage of over 100 miles and reaching up to 17'000 feet on a couple of days. This expedition was accomplished with a client from the USA, you can read his story about this great trek on our TripAdvisor page.

Massive mountain ranges cover of highlands of Cusco, including the Ausangate (“Vilcanota Range”), stretching hundreds of miles. In this off-the-map destination on the ancient llama sheperd roads, we hike pristine trails, spend a few nights camping closer to spiring peaks, soak up the Andean nomadic heritage, and witness amazing scenery every day.
