El órgano operador del Sineace entrega el distintivo de autorización a la Asociación Ayni Wasi como Entidad Certificadora de Competencias Autorizada (ECA) en la norma de competencia “Brindar Educación Comunitaria Intercultural” y en los estándares "Planificar procesos de educación comunitaria" e "Implementar los procesos de educación comunitaria”, en una ceremonia realizada en la Casa Acomocco del Ministerio de Cultura de Cusco.

As part of the Adolescent Leadership in the Sacred Valley initiative—focused on gender empowerment, strengthening local identities, and peer-to-peer learning—we hosted a powerful workshop on identity, gender, leadership, and cultural heritage ✨

With the incredible support of teacher Violeta Quispe (Asociación Vigas), 50 girls from 8 communities across the Sacred Valley came together to reflect, share experiences, and build collective strength 💫

This space was further enriched by the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Culture of Peru and CRESPIAL, strengthening the dialogue between youth leadership and cultural heritage preservation 🌿

This initiative is led by Ayniwasi Sacred Valley Health, in collaboration with Casa Kushka, Future Sense, and Museo Alqa—organizations deeply committed to community-centered development.

We are proud to announce the launch of our community health promotora training program in the district of Vilcabamba, in La Convención province—located in the high jungle of Cusco. 🌿

Known as the last refuge of the Incas, Vilcabamba carries a deep historical and cultural legacy. Today, that legacy continues through community leadership and the strengthening of local health knowledge.

Through this program, promotores and promotoras will be trained to bring culturally grounded health education to their communities, ensuring that care is both accessible and rooted in local realities.

This initiative is made possible with the support of the Municipality of Vilcabamba.

We’re hiring: Development Officer at Sacred Valley Health – Ayni Wasi 🌿

Are you passionate about fundraising, global health, and community impact?

Sacred Valley Health is looking for a bilingual Development Officer (English–Spanish) to help strengthen and grow community-led health programs in rural Peru.

This is a remote, part-time position ($30/hour) for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in grant writing and fundraising.

In this role, you will help:

identify and research funding opportunities
write grant proposals, LOIs, and donor reports
manage the grants pipeline and tracking systems
support donor communications and stewardship
work closely with program, finance, and M&E teams to turn impact into compelling funding narratives

We’re looking for someone with:

professional or native-level written English
strong Spanish proficiency
proven experience in grant writing and fundraising
strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience with donor databases, nonprofit fundraising, or international organizations is a plus.

In February, Sacred Valley Health held workshops with adolescents in Soccma, Anapahua, Kelkanka, Patacancha, and Huilloc, focusing on the important topics of boundaries and consent.

Through guided discussions and interactive activities, participants reflected on respect, personal autonomy, communication, and healthy relationships. These sessions help young people build confidence, strengthen decision-making skills, and foster safer, more supportive communities. 🌿✨
