๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐จ, ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ โ As part of the Philippine National Police's intensified campaign against illegal drugs, the San Francisco Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PCPT JUN JIREH C ARSENIO, ACOP through its Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), successfully conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect and the confiscation of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of Php9,441.00.
The operation was conducted at about 12:50 PM on August 26, 2026, in Brgy. Poblacion, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte. The suspect was arrested after selling one (1) sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover operative.
Confiscated during the operation were one (1) transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu purchased by the poseur-buyer, weighing approximately 0.1885 gram with an SDP value of Php1,281.00, and additional sachets of suspected shabu recovered during the body search with an estimated weight of 1.2 gram and an SDP value of Php8,160.00. The total quantity of suspected shabu seized was approximately 1.3885 gram, with a combined SDP value of Php9,441.00. Also recovered from the suspect were one (1) genuine Php1,000.00 bill used as marked money.
The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights in accordance with the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Act. The inventory and documentation of the seized evidence were conducted in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 9165 in the presence of the required witnesses.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the San Francisco Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition. Criminal charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being filed before the appropriate court.
