China Aid - Juncao Technology has confirmed "Mushroom Farmers Training" for March 8 - 10. Regstd participants will be informed & numbers will be reduced due to covid protocols.

After about 4 months of dormancy, 🍄seed production just commenced at the China Aid project base. 🍄farming to commence after 4 weeks incubation. We have initiated talks with partners EHPG, China Aid and CPL Group and Churches. A major event for Juncao Mushroom and fresh veges will take place real soon at NSI Goroka. Keep a look out. 🍄

Belated Xmas greetings and Happy New year to all JEHM fans, farmers. 2022 holds promise for JEHM. Indications are that CPL Group will partner JEHM to grow the mushroom industry in EHP. Customers in Pom can expect regular supply of fresh mushroom starting Feb/March. Happy New year every one.

Covid 19 protocols have forced us to limit our activities in recent times...yes limit, not stop.😷
With our corporate partner, the largest fresh produce buyer in the country on board together with partners China Aid, EH Prov Govt, Goroka and Henganofi DDA's we will drive the Nucleus Farm Concept starting in January 2022 of course we'll be mindful of on coming Omicron.

It has been a long while, lock down is over at least for now...can't wait to get a move on with farming, training and all. Women's Groups, Church Groups, Family Groups ++ are eager. We have and are doing the utmost we can... But it all boils down to the readiness of the prov govt, Chinese technical team and our political leadership.🍄

We have another delay for the training... Simply for the same reason why Goroka Show was called off at the 11th hour. China Aid facilitators have suggested next month, we will observe C19 protocols. Dates will be confirmed soon.

Last week 4 of 14 group farms for CPL got promo mushroom seeds courtesy of China Aid.

Two groups also delivered a truck load of dried lin grass for mushroom substrate production.

This week 4 groups with completed sheds will collect theirs. First mushroom dispatch to CPL expected next week.

Preparations leading up to the July Mushroom Farming training in Goroka is underway.

We just completed the mushroom cultivation shed for Faniufa Lutheran Church which will also be the training venue.

We need up to 300 mushroom seeds to do first demo planting prior to the training. It will cost around K600 (including scale, dish, plastic, harvest knife etc).
