Need your comments to assist my Team in our next Community meeting 🤔🤔

Vitis Cheap Liquor is worse than Homebrew and other Drugs..
Young people , including School Children are consumers of these products and this is grave concern ,not only Hula but many other Communities as well...

Our Ward Member, Hon. F Temu is concerned and our next meeting this Agenda will be on the Top 3...

If some Provinces have banned Vitis, why allow this in our beautiful Province....
Let us ban Vitis Liquor ..

Offences and Penalties..

The by-laws were endorsed in Hula Community Meeting in November 2018 and enforced and active to this day👍 with the blessing of HOOD POINT VILLAGE COURT (HPVC)...

Offences

- Domestic Violence,,Police matter.
- public drinking, fighting, vandalism in public places(Raukele, cemetery, schools,beaches, jetty)
-illegal drugs,homebrew,,Police matter.
- Assault
_ under age drinking (18 below)
- Abetting/Aiding(alama kala)
- Public/neighbour disturbances (boom box)etc
- Sunday market in public.
- Gambling (all types)
- night bicycle riding
- Other by-laws not mentioned..

Penalties:-

- Community work to apply
-K200.00 maximum fine (In mediation minimum fine from K20.00 (pending on nature of offence)
- HPVC fines start from K300.00.

Jetty open hours -7am to 6 pm
Closed Sunday

Offences/Penalties

These By-Laws were endorsed and approved by Hula Community meeting in November 2018 and are enforced to this day...

By-Laws not noted below are referred to Hood Point Village Court for clarification and acted on accordingly..
Thanks to HPV Court Chairman Mr Valina Kwaipo the above By-Laws were approved with his blessing and commitment 👍

Both Authorities are working together to enforce and ensure Peace and Harmony prevail all times in Hula 👍
Latest arrangements :--
- HPVC clerk to issue Summons on all Offences reported by Law/Order Sector and offenders attend Court sessions.
- At least 3-4 Magistrates to elaborate on offences and penalties applied accordingly..
- Penalties includes , Community work(10 kina for 1 wk,20kina 2 wks and so forth) or Court fines to be paid at timeframe given.
- Failure to meet the above ,the Court will issue Warrant of Commitment and offenders handed over to POLICE ..
- Cases are categorised ,those for mediation ,HPVC to hear and those to involve Police..
I,again commend HPVC Chairman and Team for moving the Court down to the 4 Clans on weekly basis,every Tuesday 👍So far the last 2 Courts were at Siligo and Kwamolu,next Tuesday at Poerupu and following Tuesday Konerigo👍

My discussions with the Chairman last week and we agreed that Courts can take place any day of the week so we need money to carry out this task..
So members/ partners out there asked to assist and can contact me..
