"To the graduands, you have made the choice to serve the 10-million people of Papua New Guinea. The people of this nation now look to you to serve them, protect their lives, liberty and properties over your own.
The people you serve, expect you to live up to your name. Our country, asks no more than discipline and being true to your uniform, for you are our country’s face of law enforcement and security. You are the direct hand of Government in maintaining order, security and safety.
You are the first ever King’s Commissioned Officers following the coronation of King Charles III in May this year. The crown you will adorn on your uniform is more than just a decoration. It reflects order and discipline. Two very important principles that you must live by as commissioned officers of the King.
Your conduct and personal appearance must at all times reflect high standing and ethical leadership. Take care of your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing as the basis for your personal growth, progress and for a productive service in the respective Force you serve.
