On July 13, 2026, the WPU CAFES Agribusiness Department successfully conducted another enriching session of the BSAB Seminar on Academic Writing, Research Excellence, and Professional Development, reaffirming its commitment to developing competent, ethical, and research-driven future agribusiness professionals.
The seminar featured two insightful sessions that provided the BSAB 4th Year students with practical knowledge essential for their academic and professional journey.
Session 3: Gender and Development Orientation for Researchers and Practicum Students

The session highlighted the importance of Gender and Development (GAD), inclusivity, gender analysis, and ethical considerations in conducting research and practicum activities.
Participants were encouraged to integrate gender-responsive and inclusive approaches into their academic work, practicum activities and future professional practice.
Session 6: Seminar on Writing a Business/Communication Letter
Resource Speaker: Mr. Dale C. Caabas
Faculty, College of Education
Participants enjoyed the session through a very interactive and engaging activities conducted. They have also learned the fundamentals of writing effective business and communication letters, emphasizing proper format and writing, professionalism, clarity, and appropriate communication for both academic and workplace settings.
The seminar concluded with an engaging Question and Answer session, where students actively interacted with the speakers and deepened their understanding of the topics discussed. This was followed by the Awarding of Certificates, expressing sincere appreciation to our distinguished resource speakers through Certificates of Appreciation for generously sharing their expertise, experiences, and invaluable insights.
More than just a seminar, the event served as a platform for empowering students to become effective communicators, socially responsible researchers, and future professionals equipped with the knowledge and values needed to make meaningful contributions to the agricultural sector and beyond.
