On 07 April 2026, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Abucay, together with Coast Guard Station (CGS) Bataan and the Philippine Coast Guard Academy (PCGA), continues to provide assistance and ensure the safety and security of visitors at Sibul Nature Spring Resort, Abucay, Bataan.

Deployed personnel conduct continuous monitoring, crowd management, and safety supervision, while maintaining readiness to respond to any emergency situation. The presence of PCG personnel further enhances public safety awareness and ensures compliance with existing safety measures.

This deployment is being carried out in close coordination with the LGU Abucay, MDRRMO Abucay, and the management of Sibul Nature Spring Resort, highlighting strong inter-agency cooperation under the PCG ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) program to maintain a safe, orderly, and secure environment for all.

On 02 April 2026, 𝐋𝐓𝐉𝐆 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐃𝐔 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Commander of Coast Guard Substation Abucay, conducted visits and inspections of deployed personnel in line with OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2026 at St. Dominic Guzman Parish Church and Sibul Resort. The activity aimed to ensure operational readiness, effective deployment, and the continuous delivery of maritime safety and public assistance services.

In coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO Abucay), Abucay Traffic Marshals, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP Abucay) and Abucay Municipal Police Station (MPS), personnel provided assistance to churchgoers and penitents while maintaining peace, order, and public safety in identified convergence areas. The activity was also conducted in the presence of Mayor Erik J. Martel, highlighting strong support from the local government.

Through these efforts, CGSS Abucay reinforces its commitment under the PCG iCARE Program—ensuring integrity in service, constant readiness, and active engagement with partner agencies to safeguard lives and promote a safe, orderly, and meaningful observance of Semana Santa.

Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Abucay actively implemented safety and security measures in line with OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS: Semana Santa & Summer Vacation 2026 on 28 March to 05 April 2025, focusing on ensuring the protection and convenience of the public within its Area of Responsibility.

Personnel of CGSS Abucay were strategically deployed at Sibul Nature Spring Resort to provide safety and security assistance, including monitoring of visitors, inspection of safety equipment such as life-saving appliances, and dissemination of safety reminders to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for tourists and resort-goers.

Simultaneously, intensified coastal security patrols were conducted along the coastal areas of Abucay to monitor maritime activities, deter illegal operations. These patrols aim to ensure the safety of small vessels and fisherfolktraversing the coastal waters.

In support of this initiative, CGSS Abucay has actively disseminated information materials and installed visibility posters in coastal areas and landing sites within its Area of Responsibility, promoting the “See Something, Say Something” campaign and encouraging the public to report any suspicious or unsafe maritime activities.

Through these continuous efforts, CGSS Abucay reaffirms its commitment to uphold maritime safety, maintain coastal security, and protect lives and property, in support of the Philippine Coast Guard’s mandate under the iCARE Program.

On or about 14 March 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Abucay rendered traffic and security assistance in connection with the Bisita Iglesia observed at St. Dominic de Guzman Parish Church – Abucay, Bataan.

CGSS Abucay personnel were strategically deployed within the vicinity of the parish church and along major roadways to assist in traffic management, pedestrian safety, and crowd monitoring, ensuring the orderly flow of vehicles and the safety of pilgrims and churchgoers visiting the religious site.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the Traffic Marshals of the Municipality of Abucay, demonstrating continued cooperation in maintaining public safety and order during religious activities within the community.

On 07 March 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Abucay provided safety and security assistance during the 2026 Diocesan March for Life held at St. Dominic de Guzman Parish, Abucay, Bataan. The activity gathered members of the clergy, religious organizations, and community participants advocating the protection and value of human life under the theme “Life is a Gift.”

CGSS Abucay personnel were strategically deployed along the activity route to assist in traffic management, crowd control, and public safety monitoring to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the procession and related activities.

The operation was conducted in coordination with the Parish organizers, Traffic Marshals, and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Abucay, strengthening inter-agency cooperation in maintaining public safety and supporting community initiatives.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), through Coast Guard Station Bataan, successfully conducted the PCG ICARE Activity on 16 February 2025 at the Covered Court, Barangay Bangkal, Abucay. The activity was graced by the distinguished presence of COMMO CHRISTOPHER M. MENIADO PCG, Acting Commander, Coast Guard District National Capital Region–Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL).

The outreach program brought together various stakeholders and partner agencies in a unified effort to deliver essential services to Indigenous Peoples and fisherfolk communities. The activity included the provision of free medical and dental consultations, distribution of food packs and hygiene kits, as well as feeding programs and information awareness sessions aimed at promoting health, safety, and community well-being.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collective support and collaboration of the Local Government Unit of Abucay, NCIP Bataan, Drugstore Association of the Philippines (DSAP) – Bataan Chapter, Fisherfolk from Orani, O.B. Montessori, 106th PCGA, 124th PCGA, 126th PCGA, MRRV-4406, CGDENTAL NCR-CL, CGNSSU NCR-CL, and CGMEDICAL NCR-CL.

The PCG remains steadfast in its commitment to extend public service beyond maritime safety and security by fostering partnerships and advancing humanitarian initiatives that uplift coastal and inland communities.

LOOK: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), successfully conducted its Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response and Enforcement (ICARE) activity for the Aeta community at the Covered Court, Brgy. Bangkal, Abucay, Bataan on 16 February 2026.

The PCG provided medical, dental and nursing care assistance, including visual eye check-ups with free reading glasses, blood glucose screening, kidney function screening, gift-giving, a feeding program, and a special mascot performance by Jollibee and Hetty.

The PCG extends its heartfelt gratitude to the following partners and stakeholders for their invaluable support:
