Noong 01 Setyembre 2026, ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Sub-Station Abucay (CGSS Abucay), sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Abucay, ay tumulong sa paghahanda at pag-iimpake ng relief goods na nakalaan para sa mga pamilyang nangangailangan ng tulong sa Bayan ng Abucay, Bataan.

Kabilang sa mga inihandang relief goods ang mga pangunahing pangangailangan tulad ng bigas at iba’t ibang pagkain. Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagkilos ng CGSS Abucay at MDRRMO Abucay, patuloy ang paghahanda upang matiyak ang maayos at mabilis na pamamahagi ng tulong sa mga benepisyaryo.

Ang aktibidad na ito ay bahagi ng Philippine Coast Guard’s iCARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement). Noong 31 Agosto 2026, tumulong ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Sub-Station Abucay (CGSS Abucay) sa pamamahagi ng mga relief goods para sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng nagdaang pagbaha sa Brgy. Wawa, Abucay, Bataan. Isinagawa ang aktibidad kasama si Hon. Erik J Martel, Municipal Mayor ng Abucay, mga opisyal ng Brgy. Wawa, Abucay Municipal Police Station, at iba pang katuwang ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Abucay.

Nakiisa ang mga tauhan ng CGSS Abucay sa maayos at mabilis na paghahanda, pagbubuhat, at pamamahagi ng mga relief goods upang matiyak na makarating ang kinakailangang tulong sa mga residenteng naapektuhan ng pagbaha. Ang sama-samang pagkilos ng lokal na pamahalaan, barangay, PCG, PNP, at iba pang responders ay nagpapakita ng patuloy na pagtutulungan para sa kapakanan at kaligtasan ng komunidad.

Noong 31 Agosto 2026, nakiisa ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Sub-Station Abucay (CGSS Abucay), kasama ang MEPTDI Bataan, PNP Abucay, BFP Abucay, Knights of Columbus, mga opisyal at kawani ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Abucay, at iba pang katuwang na ahensya, sa isinagawang Wreath-Laying Ceremony bilang paggunita sa National Heroes Day sa harap ng New Abucay Municipal Hall, Brgy. Calaylayan, Abucay, Bataan. Dinaluhan din ang nasabing aktibidad ni Hon. Erik J Martel, Municipal Mayor ng Abucay.

Ang seremonya ay isinagawa bilang pagbibigay-pugay at pagkilala sa katapangan, kabayanihan, at sakripisyo ng mga bayaning Pilipino na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay at naglingkod para sa kalayaan at kapakanan ng bansa. Nagsilbi rin itong paalala sa bawat isa na patuloy na isabuhay ang diwa ng pagmamahal sa bayan, pagkakaisa, at tapat na paglilingkod sa kapwa at sa sambayanan.

Noong 29 Agosto 2026, sa gitna ng patuloy na pagbaha, nagsagawa ng evacuation at rescue operations ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Station Bataan (CGS Bataan), sa pamamagitan ng Coast Guard Sub-Station Abucay (CGSS Abucay), sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa MDRRMO Abucay, kasama ang MEPTD Bataan at 89th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army (89th IB, PA), sa Brgy. Wawa at Brgy. Gabon, Abucay, Bataan.

Sa pamamagitan ng mabilis at sama-samang pagkilos ng mga tumugon na ahensya, kabuuang 190 indibidwal ang ligtas na nailikas mula sa mga lugar na apektado ng pagbaha, ayon sa MDRRMO Abucay. Tiniyak ng mga responders na maihatid ang mga apektadong residente sa ligtas na lugar habang patuloy na minomonitor ang sitwasyon sa mga komunidad na maaaring maapektuhan.

Kaugnay ng patuloy na epekto ng Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Sub-Station Abucay (CGSS Abucay), sa pangunguna ni π—Ÿπ—§π—π—š π—Ÿπ—”π—¨π—₯𝗒𝗑 𝗣 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗗𝗨 π—£π—–π—š, Commander, CGSS Abucay, ay patuloy na nagsasagawa ng monitoring sa mga baybaying lugar, ilog, at iba pang flood-prone areas sa bayan ng Abucay. Patuloy din ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa MDRRMO Abucay, PNP Abucay, BFP Abucay, Traffic Marshal, Barangay Officials, Fisherfolk’s at iba pang kinauukulang tanggapan upang matiyak ang agarang koordinasyon at pagtugon sa anumang posibleng insidente.

On 13–14 August 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Bataan, together with personnel from the Marine Environmental Protection Training and Doctrine Institute (MEPTDI), provided manpower assistance in the handling, unloading, and preparation of relief goods in support of disaster response efforts in the Province of Bataan.

The activities were conducted in coordination with the Municipality of Limay on 13 August and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Bataan at the 1Bataan Command Center, Orani, Bataan on 14 August. The assistance forms part of CGS Bataan’s continuing preparedness and humanitarian response efforts amid the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In line with the Philippine Coast Guard’s ICARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) Program, CGS Bataan remains committed to strengthening cooperation with the Provincial Government, LGUs, and partner agencies and providing timely assistance to communities during adverse weather conditions.

The center of Tropical Depression LUIS was estimated based on all available data at 135 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.4Β°N, 123.4Β°E).
➣ Intensity:
Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and central pressure of 1002 hPa.
➣ Present Movement:
Northward slowly
➣ Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds:
Strong winds extend outwards up to 190 km from the center

➣ Severe Winds
The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction.
β€’ Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1.
The Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of LUIS will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):
β€’ Today and Tomorrow (04 August): Most of Luzon and Visayas, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Camiguin, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.
β€’ Wednesday (05 August): Most of Luzon and Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental
HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS

Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters:
β€’ Up to 2.5 m: The eastern seaboard of Isabela and Davao Oriental; the northeastern seaboard of Aurora.
β€’ Up to 2.0 m: The seaboard of Batanes; the northern and eastern seaboards of Babuyan Islands; the eastern seaboards of mainland Cagayan, Pangasinan, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Occidental; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, and Northern Samar; the northern seaboards of Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur; the southern seaboard of Davao Oriental.
β€’ Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.
Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m.
TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
β€’ It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to β€œOther Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone.
β€’ LUIS will move generally northwestward and may make landfall or pass close to Northern Luzon tonight or tomorrow (04 August) early morning. Afterwards, it will sharply turn east northeastward while moving away from the Philippine landmass. The forecast track is highly uncertain and may change in the succeeding bulletins.
β€’ LUIS is forecast to remain as a tropical depression over majority of the forecast period and may be downgraded into a remnant low by Wednesday (05 August) before becoming fully assimilated into the circulation of Tropical Cyclone DOLPHIN.
Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

In reference to Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 08 for Tropical Depression LUIS issued by PAGASA as of 0800H, 03 August 2026, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals remain in effect over portions of Eastern Luzon. Likewise, the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of Tropical Depression LUIS continue to affect the country's coastal waters. In accordance with NHQ-PCG/CG-8 Memorandum Circular No. 02-23, "Revised Guidelines on Movement of Vessels During Heavy Weather," dated 23 March 2023, and HPCG Memorandum Circular No. 03-01, "Guidelines on the Movement of Motorboats/Vessels in the Absence of a Weather Bulletin in the Locality," movement of vessels is hereby regulated as follows:

All types of vessels with point of destination, transiting to, or operating within areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 are hereby SUSPENDED, except for the purpose of seeking shelter. These areas include The central and eastern portions of Cagayan (Enrile, Tuguegarao City, PeΓ±ablanca, Piat, Santo NiΓ±o, Camalaniugan, Tuao, Lal-Lo, Gonzaga, Alcala, Amulung, Santa Teresita, Baggao, Buguey, Solana, Rizal, Santa Ana, Gattaran, Iguig, Lasam, Aparri, Ballesteros, Abulug, Allacapan, Pamplona), Isabela, Quirino, the eastern and southern portions of Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Conner, Pudtol, Luna), the eastern portion of Kalinga (City of Tabuk, Tanudan, Pinukpuk, Rizal), the eastern portion of Mountain Province (Paracelis, Natonin), the eastern portion of Ifugao (Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista), and the northern portion of Aurora (Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag, Dipaculao, Baler)

However, voyages may resume anytime when weather and sea conditions return to normal, as may be declared by PAGASA, pursuant to NHQ-PCG/CG-8 Memorandum Circular No. 02-23, dated 23 March 2023, "Revised Guidelines on Movement of Vessels During Heavy Weather," and HPCG Memorandum Circular No. 03-01, "Guidelines on the Movement of Motorboats/Vessels in the Absence of a Weather Bulletin in the Locality."

The seagoing public, coastal communities, vessel owners, operators, masters, patrons, and fisherfolk are advised to refrain from engaging in any sea or weather-related activities within the affected areas and to ensure that all vessels are properly secured to prevent any untoward incident.
