ACTIVE THREAT SYMPOSIUM AND ANTI-BULLYING AWARENESS SYMPOSIUM

Aloleng Elementary School** recently conducted an Active Threat Symposium and Anti-Bullying Awareness Symposium as part of its continuing efforts to promote a safe, secure, and child-friendly learning environment for all learners.

The symposium was conducted with the valuable support of the Agno Municipal Police Station (Agno PNP), whose personnel served as resource speakers for the activity. PMSg Valerie S. Nialla discussed Anti-Bullying Awareness, emphasizing the importance of recognizing bullying, understanding its effects on children, and promoting kindness, respect, empathy, and responsible behavior among learners. The discussion also highlighted the shared responsibility of pupils, parents, and teachers in preventing and addressing bullying incidents.

Meanwhile, Pat. Chester V. Montreal discussed Active Threat Awareness, providing participants with essential information on how to recognize potential threats, respond appropriately during emergencies, and remain calm and alert in situations that may pose risks to the safety of the school community.

The symposium was attended by pupils from Kindergarten to Grade 6, parents, and teachers, making the activity a meaningful avenue for strengthening awareness and preparedness among members of the school community.

Through this initiative, Aloleng Elementary School continues to strengthen its commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, respectful, and secure learning environment. The school recognizes that ensuring the safety and well-being of learners is a shared responsibility, and that through cooperation among the school, parents, learners, and community partners such as the Agno PNP, everyone can contribute to a safer school for all.

Together, let us stand against bullying, stay alert to potential threats, and work hand in hand toward a safe and caring school community.

Aloleng Elementary School successfully conducted a First Aid Symposium on September 18, 2026, in partnership with the Agno Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO). The activity aimed to equip learners and parents with essential knowledge and practical skills in responding to emergencies and providing immediate assistance to individuals who may need first aid.

The symposium featured Ma’am Cristina N. Nerona as the resource speaker, who shared her knowledge and expertise through engaging and practical discussions. The participants explored two important topics: Basic First Aid and Bandaging and Introduction to Basic Life Support (BLS).

To reinforce the concepts discussed, participants were given the opportunity to perform a return demonstration after each topic. Through these hands-on activities, the Grade 4–6 learners and parents were able to practice proper first-aid techniques, bandaging procedures, and basic life support skills under the guidance of the resource speaker.

The activity emphasized that being prepared for emergencies is a shared responsibility. By providing learners and parents with practical first-aid knowledge and skills, the school strengthens its commitment to promoting a safe, prepared, and resilient school community.

Aloleng Elementary School extends its sincere appreciation to the Agno MDRRMO and Ma’am Cristina N. Nerona for sharing their valuable time, expertise, and service. The school also commends the active participation of the Grade 4–6 learners and parents who made the symposium meaningful and successful.

Together, through knowledge, preparedness, and cooperation, we can save lives and build a safer community.

Aloleng Elementary School actively participated in the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 on September 10, 2026, at exactly 2:00 PM.

The earthquake drill was conducted to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel in responding to earthquake-related emergencies. It provided an opportunity for everyone to practice the proper safety procedures before, during, and after an earthquake.

During the drill, learners and personnel immediately performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure upon the sounding of the alarm. The activity also emphasized the importance of staying calm, following instructions, identifying safe evacuation routes, and being aware of designated assembly areas. Teachers reinforced the need for preparedness and reminded learners that practicing emergency procedures can help save lives during actual disasters.

The successful conduct of the 3rd Quarter NSED 2026 at Aloleng Elementary School demonstrated the school's continuing commitment to promoting a culture of safety, preparedness, and disaster resilience. Through regular drills and preparedness activities, the school aims to equip learners and personnel with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to respond appropriately during emergencies.

Student-Led Hazard Mapping: Empowering Learners for a Safer Aloleng Elementary School

Aloleng Elementary School continues to strengthen its commitment to building a safe, prepared, and disaster-resilient school community through a Student-Led Hazard Mapping Activity spearheaded by the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG), in coordination with the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) and Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD).

The activity provided learners with a meaningful opportunity to actively participate in identifying and assessing potential hazards within and around the school premises. Through collaborative observation, discussion, and mapping, the student leaders identified areas that may pose risks to learners, teachers, and other members of the school community.

The activity was guided by SELG Advisers Marvie L. Barrogo and Lelani N. Nabua, whose dedication and support helped empower learners to take an active role in promoting school safety and preparedness. Their guidance encouraged the students to work together, think critically, and become more aware of the importance of disaster risk reduction and environmental safety.

The initiative was conducted under the leadership of School Principal Grace M. Nilo, who continues to support programs that develop responsible, safety-conscious, and environmentally aware learners.

More than just an activity, the student-led hazard mapping served as an avenue for learners to realize that safety is a shared responsibility. By involving students in identifying possible hazards and proposing appropriate preventive measures, Aloleng Elementary School nurtures a culture of preparedness, vigilance, and active participation.

Through the collaborative efforts of SELG, YES-O, and BKD, Aloleng ES demonstrates that when learners are empowered to take action, they can become effective partners in creating a safer, cleaner, healthier, and more disaster-resilient school community.

Together, let us identify the risks, take action, and make Aloleng Elementary School a safer place for everyone!
