DMMMSU-SLUC joins Bail National High School in the celebration of Gender and Development month (GAD)

Faculty members of Bail National High School (BNHS) in Santo Tomas, La Union were allayed after the reverberation brought by the six months quarantine to faculty and students of BNHS. Both actively participated in the webinar on Gender Fairness and Sensitivity through the DMMMSU page last October 12. Facilitated by Humanities Professor, Yezza Sindayen from the College of Arts and Sciences.

The webinar was timely for the participating teachers as part of the celebration of Gender And Development (GAD) month. Faculty members were not only empowered in terms of their careers but were also enlightened in terms of equality in the workplace.

Sindayen said that “The Philippines is not yet in rank among the countries with problematic gender equality however if we see the ratio men are is still in the top rank in terms of career than that of women especially women who are abused." Sindayen encouraged everyone to be empowered not only in their career but also in the workplace.

DMMMSU explores ways to boost employee wellbeing to drive greater engagement and productivity in research.

Engagement tools like employee recognition platforms can work wonders in building a positive workplace culture. This positivity can drive work engagement in all sorts of ways and by rewarding employees for their efforts, the organization is creating a workplace engagement. A simple 'thanks' for a job well done can make a huge difference to the lives of employees - more than we think!

Since we believe that we have to put the spotlight on the great things that happen, let us CONGRATULATE our DMMMSU Researchers, especially our very own DR. EDUARD ALBAY of the College of Arts and Sciences for a job well done. You nailed it again!

DMMMSU gave away laptops as incentives to researchers who have published in Web of Science and Scopus-indexed and CHED-Accredited journals last October 14, 2020 at the Conference Room, Central Administration Bldg., DMMMSU, Bacnotan, La Union.
