• Photocopy of School ID (Validated for 2nd Semester, SY 2025-2026), if it’s not validated, you still need to bring a photocopy of your school ID.
• If your School ID is not validated, bring a Photocopy of any of your Government-issued ID with 3 specimen signatures but you must secure an updated Certificate of Enrollment from your school with latest date of issuance.

As another school year begins, the Agoo SK Federation remains committed to supporting our students through the “Edu Support – Handog Suporta para sa Balik Eskwela 2026” program.

Office supplies for the youth were distributed to 12 high schools in Agoo to help learners start the year prepared and inspired.

This initiative would not have been possible without the support of Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, Vice Mayor Antonio Eslao, the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and all SK Chairpersons from the different barangays of Agoo led by SK Federation President Rosephine Gwyneth Cortez.

Together, we continue to invest in the education and future of the Kabataang Agoeños. 💚

The Local Government Unit of Agoo, through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and Agoo District Jail, recently received awards, presented at today's traditional flag-raising ceremony, for their continued commitment to responsive public service and meaningful community initiatives.

Last May 25, 2026, the Office of the Governor of La Union awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the LGU Agoo – MAO, headed by Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Samuel Villanueva, for its support and contribution during the celebration of “Bulan ti Mannalon ken Manggalap.” The award reflects the municipality’s commitment to supporting local farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector in the community.

Meanwhile, on May 26, 2026, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) - Agoo District Jail, under JSINSP Dondon V. Ocampo received a Certificate of Recognition for its initiative entitled “AI-KALINGA: Integrated AI-assisted Welfare and Development Ecosystem for Persons Deprived of Liberty.” The project was recognized for its innovative and effective approach in improving programs and services for persons deprived of liberty and for helping promote more responsive and efficient jail service delivery.

JSINSP Ocampo and his personnel also gifted the LGU a handcrafted podium by the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) of Agoo District Jail, a gesture of collaboration and community rehabilitation.

These recognitions serve as an inspiration for the municipality to continue strengthening programs and initiatives that promote innovation, development, and quality public service for the people of Agoo. 💚

A valuable opportunity was granted to Kailian Robert Aquino of Brgy. San Agustin Norte, as he was awarded yesterday, May 28, 2026, a livelihood assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the Snack Vending Project.

Kailian Robert, a Probationer and also a Person with Disability (PWD) was endorsed by the Department of Justice - Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA) Region 1.

The awarding was led by Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, together with the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), headed by Ms. Joy Aberin.

Mayor Sibuma encouraged Kailian Robert to make the project a source of inspiration and motivation toward a better future for himself and his family.

Mr. Aquino and his wife expressed their sincere gratitude to DOLE, LGU Agoo, PESO, and the DOJ-PPA for the opportunity and support extended to them. He shared his commitment to responsibly manage the livelihood project and use it to improve their daily living. 💚

𝗠𝗮𝘆-𝗞𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗴 𝟰 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝗼, 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸

“Every dish carries a story, and every flavor keeps a culture alive”. This spirit was once again celebrated as the leg 4 journey of May-Kan: Discovering the Flavors of the North Through a Gastronomic Experience returned to La Union and found its meaningful stop at Lakay Ago Nature's Park yesterday, May 27, 2026, bringing together tradition, innovation, and pride in the community.

Derived from "umay" (to come) and "makan" (to eat), May-kan has grown into a leading gastronomic program of the Department of Tourism–Region I. Its Leg 4 brought together celebrity chefs, food vloggers, social media influencers, national government agency partners and representatives from the DOT Central office to experience the region’s evolving food culture, from fresh farm dishes to meals from coastal kitchens and upland communities.

The Local Government Unit of Agoo, through the Agoo Tourism Office, and Lakay Ago welcomed the guests with two beloved Ilocano specialties: the Dinengdeng and Binubudan, two dishes that reflected the simplicity and richness of the town's culinary heritage.

Fresh from local farms, the Dinengdeng carried the honest flavors of Ilocano cooking. Simmered in a light broth and seasoned with bagoong, the dish highlighted the region’s deep connection to the land and its abundance. More than just a vegetable soup, it reflected the warmth and resilience of the Ilocano people. Beside it was the comforting sweetness of Binubudan, a fermented rice often enjoyed by the community as dessert or merienda.

What made the experience even more special was the presence of the Kailians behind these recipes. Three recipes of Dinengdeng were presented, proudly prepared by Chef Rey Conception of Lakay Ago and the winners of the Dinengdeng Festival 2026 Pista ti Dinengdeng: Reina Marie Embuido and Belinda Cacas from San Manuel Sur Elementary School, and Lo**ta Quero, Marilou Madera, and Rosario Panergo from DEFEMNHS. Meanwhile, the Binubudan was prepared by Ma. Esmeña "Ante Maria" Valdez, champion of the Binubudan-Making Competition during the Binubudan Festival 2022.

This gathering was more than a simple activity, it became a celebration of culture, skill, and community pride. In every bite of Dinengdeng and Binubudan, the people of Agoo shared their story, showing that food is not only for nourishment, but a living tradition that connects generations and keeps culture alive.
