Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (SBPS) was proclaimed as a Protected Seascape on March 05, 1996, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 756, for the purpose of conserving its marine resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026, kaisa ang Protected Area Management Office – Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (PAMO-SBPS) ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa pagsusulong ng pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino bilang mahalagang bahagi ng ating kultura, pagkakakilanlan, at pagkakaisa.

Sa temang “𝘞𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘢𝘵 𝘈𝘐: 𝘒𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘴𝘪𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘠𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘺𝘰𝘯,” binibigyang-diin ang makabuluhang ugnayan ng wika, teknolohiya, at kaalaman.

Bilang tagapangalaga ng Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape, patuloy na isinusulong ng PAMO-SBPS ang paggamit ng kaalaman, inobasyon, at makabagong teknolohiya upang suportahan ang pangangalaga ng ating karagatan, baybayin, biodiversity, at mga pamayanang umaasa sa mga yamang likas.

Sa pagpapanatili ng ating wika at kultura, kasabay ng responsableng paggamit ng makabagong teknolohiya, sama-sama nating palakasin ang kaalaman para sa 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻, 𝗸𝗼𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻.

𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬: Please be advised that the Protected Area Management Office - Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (PAMO-SBPS) will temporarily observe an EIGHT-HOUR WORKDAY (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) from August 17 to 20, 2026, in view of the Ninoy Aquino Day holiday on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The regular four-day workweek schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) will resume on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Transacting clients, stakeholders, and partners are encouraged to plan their visits and transactions accordingly.

This June 25, 2026, the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (SBPS) proudly joins the nation in celebrating the 2026 Philippine Arbor Day and the launch of Luntiang Bukas: Green, Clean, and Climate-Ready Filipino Communities.

Trees are more than just part of our landscape—they provide clean air, protect our watersheds, reduce the impacts of climate change, and serve as habitats for countless species. Every tree we plant today is an investment in a healthier, greener, and more resilient future for generations to come.

As we celebrate Arbor Day, let us all do our part by planting and nurturing trees, protecting our forests, and inspiring our communities to become active stewards of the environment.

In observance of the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, celebrated every 17 June, the Protected Area Management Office of the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape joins the global call under the theme “𝘙𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴: 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘦. 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵. 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘦.” The observance highlights the importance of healthy ecosystems in sustaining biodiversity, securing livelihoods, enhancing climate resilience, and supporting sustainable development through restoration and responsible stewardship of natural resources.

Today, we celebrate 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 and recognize the vital role sea turtles play in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems. These ancient ocean travelers face numerous threats, making their protection a shared responsibility among communities, conservation partners, and future generations.

At the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape, we remain committed to safeguarding marine habitats that support sea turtles and other marine wildlife. Let us continue working together to ensure that our oceans remain safe havens for these remarkable creatures.

The Protected Area Management Office – Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (PAMO-SBPS) extends its sincere gratitude to all government agencies, organizations, private individuals, volunteers, and community partners whose generosity made this relief effort possible.

Through the collective support of our donors and partners, a total of 2,590 kilograms of rice, 508 packs of instant noodles, 48 canned goods, and 290 packs of assorted groceries were mobilized and distributed to earthquake-affected communities in Glan, Malapatan, and Maasim, Sarangani. In addition, approximately 5,378.9 liters of potable water, together with essential medicines, medical supplies, 100 meters of trapal (waterproof sheets), and one container of gasoline were provided to support the immediate needs of affected residents and ongoing relief operations.

These humanitarian efforts benefited 2,678 families, bringing much-needed relief, hope, and comfort during this challenging time. Every donation, regardless of size, has made a meaningful difference in helping our fellow Sarangans recover and rebuild stronger.

The Protected Area Management Office likewise expresses its deepest appreciation to all donors, volunteers, partner agencies, local government units, and concerned citizens whose compassion and solidarity exemplified the true spirit of bayanihan.

Maraming salamat sa inyong malasakit, pagkakaisa, at patuloy na pakikiisa para sa ating mga kababayang nangangailangan.

Those who wish to extend assistance may continue to donate relief goods, potable water, medicines, hygiene kits, and other essential supplies. Donations may be dropped off at the Marine Wildlife Rescue Center, Brgy. Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province.
