WATCH | Mayor Lilibeth “Ybing” J. Salarda, MPA, delivered a message during the necrological service for the late Felix E. Alfafara, a former employee of the Local Government Unit of Alabel under the General Services Office (GSO), held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his residence in Barangay Poblacion, Alabel, Sarangani Province. Alfafara, 69, passed away on August 11, 2026. He was also a longtime guitarist of the San Isidro Labrador Parish of Alabel. Also present were Municipal Administrator Vic Paul “Nonoy” M. Salarda, MPA, department heads, and employees of the LGU Alabel, who joined in honoring and remembering his life and years of service to the local government and community. Salarda, MPA graced and delivered a message during the Clan Indigenous Peoples’ (IP) Day in Barangay New Canaan, Alabel, Sarangani Province, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. She emphasized unity, cooperation, and the importance of preserving the rich culture and traditions of Alabel’s Indigenous Peoples, particularly the Blaan and Tagakaulo, for future generations. Also present were Municipal Administrator Vic Paul “Nonoy” M. Salarda, MPA, Municipal Councilor Enriquito A. Daguplo, MAEd, and IP leaders from various barangays. MAYOR YBING SALARDA, NAGHATAG OG MENSAHE SA CLAN INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY SA NEW CANAAN

ALABEL, Sarangani Province (Agosto 18, 2026) — Gipangulohan ni Mayor Lilibeth “Ybing” J. Salarda, MPA ang pagselebrar sa Clan Indigenous Peoples’ (IP) Day nga gipahigayon sa Barangay New Canaan, Alabel, Sarangani Province, Martes, Agosto 18, 2026.

Sa iyang mensahe, gipasiugda ni Mayor Ybing Salarda ang dakong importansya sa panaghiusa, kooperasyon, ug pagtinabangay sa komunidad aron mapalig-on ang relasyon tali sa mga Indigenous Peoples, mga lider sa komunidad, ug lokal nga panggamhanan.

Gipasiugda usab sa alkalde ang kamahinungdanon sa pagpreserbar ug pagpadayon sa kultura, tradisyon, kostumbre, ug mga mithi sa Indigenous Peoples sa Alabel, ilabina sa mga Blaan ug Tagakaulo. Matud pa niya, ang kultura usa ka bililhon nga panulundon nga angay ampingan ug ipasa ngadto sa umaabot nga mga henerasyon.

Gidasig usab ni Mayor Ybing Salarda ang mga IP leaders, kabatan-onan, mga ginikanan, ug mga magtutudlo nga magtinabangay sa pagpreserbar sa kultura aron dili mawala ang mga tradisyon ug identidad nga dugay nang gipabilin ug gipasa sa matag henerasyon.

Gipahigayon sa Lokal nga Panggamhanan sa Alabel ang 3rd Municipal Development Council (MDC) Regular Meeting alang sa Calendar Year 2026 niadtong Agosto 18, 2026, sa Cocina Comedor, Ladol Beach Resort, Barangay Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province. Gipangulohan ang maong tigom ni Municipal Mayor Lilibeth “Ybing” J. Salarda, MPA, diin gihisgutan ang mga importanteng plano, programa ug proyekto alang sa padayon nga socio-economic development sa lungsod.

Mitambong sa maong miting ang mga municipal officials, lakip si Municipal Vice Mayor Lente “Jun” L. Salway Jr., Municipal Councilor Enriquito A. Daguplo, MAEd, ug Municipal Councilor Hermie C. Galzote, MPA, ug Municipal Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Engr. Mamerto Miguel Jr. Mitambong usab ang mga department heads nga gipangulohan ni Municipal Administrator Vic Paul "Nonoy" M. Salarda, MPA, ingon man ang mga Punong Barangay nga gipangulohan ni Liga ng mga Barangay President Rose Mae Salway Orlino.

Apil usab sa mga partisipante ang mga representante sa Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) ug National Government Agencies (NGAs), lakip ang Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Alpha Company - 73rd Infantry Battalion sa Philippine Army, Save the Children, ug Mahintana Foundation, Inc.

Lakip sa mga nag-unang agenda sa miting ang Reconstitution of the Municipal Development Council (MDC), diin gitutokan ang pag-reorganisa ug pag-update sa membership sa council nga maoy nag-unang mekanismo sa paggiya sa socio-economic development planning sa munisipyo.

Gipresentar ug giendorso usab ang Municipal Nutrition Action Plan (MNAP) 2026–2028, usa ka 3 year strategic plan nga nagtutok sa mga programa ug intervention alang sa nutrisyon, food security, hunger reduction ug health concerns sa komunidad.

Gihisgutan usab ang Adoption and Endorsement of the Finalized Annual Investment Program (AIP) 2027, diin pormal nga gisusi ug giendorso ang mga prayoridad nga programa, proyekto ug kalihokan, lakip ang mga pondo nga gikinahanglan alang sa ilang pagpatuman sa Fiscal Year 2027.

Gipresentar usab sa Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) ang mga updates kabahin sa kahimtang ug progreso sa nagpadayon nga lokal nga infrastructure projects, programs ug uban pang development initiatives sa munisipyo. Tumong niini nga masiguro ang hapsay, transparent ug tukmang pagpatuman sa mga proyekto.

Samtang, gipresentar sa Local People’s Council (LPC) ang mga feedback, suhestiyon, initiatives ug concerns gikan sa mga Civil Society Organizations ug non-government representatives. Importante kini aron mas mapalig-on ang partisipasyon sa nagkalain-laing sektor sa pagplano ug pagdesisyon alang sa kalamboan sa Alabel.

Gihisgutan usab ang ubang mga butang, diin gihatagan og higayon ang mga miyembro ug partisipante sa pagpresentar sa ubang importanteng concerns, announcements ug mga isyu nga may kalabotan sa lokal nga pangagamhanan ug development planning.

Pinaagi sa regular nga pagpahigayon sa MDC meetings, gipakita sa LGU Alabel ang padayong pagpalig-on sa participatory, inclusive ug responsive governance, diin ang lokal nga panggamhanan, barangay officials, national government agencies ug civil society sectors nagtinabangay sa pagplano ug pagpatuman sa mga programa ug proyekto alang sa mas malambuon, lig-on ug masaganang Alabel. WATCH | Mayor Lilibeth “Ybing” J. Salarda, MPA, led the oath-taking ceremony of the officers of the Rural Improvement Club of Alabel Processed Meat Producers Cooperative (RICAPMPC) on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Mayor’s Office, Old Main Building, Alabel, Sarangani Province. LGU officials and cooperative representatives were present as the new officers formally assumed their responsibilities.
