In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, with the theme โ€œ๐˜ฟ๐™ž๐™›๐™›๐™š๐™ง๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ญ๐™ฉ๐™จ, ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ข๐™ข๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐˜ผ๐™จ๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™ง๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™จ,โ€ the Municipality of Alabel, through the Municipal Youth Development Office and the SK Municipal Federation, proudly opens applications for the 2026 Municipal Junior Officials (MJO) Program!

This is your chance to step into the shoes of our local leaders, as a Junior Municipal Mayor, Vice Mayor, SB Member, or Department Head, and actively take part in shaping our community.

๐–๐‡๐€๐“ ๐ˆ๐’ ๐Œ๐‰๐Ž ๐๐‘๐Ž๐†๐‘๐€๐Œ?
The MJO Program is a leadership simulation activity designed to empower young individuals by assigning them to mirror municipal government positionsโ€”such as Junior Municipal Mayor, Vice Mayor, SB Member, or Department Headโ€”for one week. This initiative is in line with Republic Act No. 10742 or the SK Reform Act of 2015, which promotes meaningful youth participation in governance.

๐„๐‹๐ˆ๐†๐ˆ๐๐ˆ๐‹๐ˆ๐“๐˜ ๐‚๐‘๐ˆ๐“๐„๐‘๐ˆ๐€:
1. Must be a bona fide resident of Alabel;
2. Must be 15โ€“24 years old;
3. Must be actively involved in school, youth, or community organizations;
4. Must have no pending criminal cases or community disciplinary actions;
5. Must not have joined the Provincial Junior Officials (PJO) and Municipal Junior officials (MJO) from the previous years;
5. Must possess leadership potential, good communication skills, and good moral character; and
6. Must be available during Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 (August 10โ€“14, 2026).

In the spirit of bayanihan and compassion, 400 food packs from Next Generation Advocate Foundation PH, Inc. of Makati City, in partnership with Youth Service Philippines and its Sarangani Chapter through Franz Jay Villanueva, together with PPSK Alabel and youth volunteers, were officially turned over to the MDRRM Office for distribution to families affected by the recent earthquake.

This collective effort reflects the power of unity and volunteerism in bringing hope and assistance to communities during challenging times. May these food packs provide comfort and support to our fellow Alabelians as they recover and rebuild.

Humanity Matters, a Singaporean humanitarian interfaith organization, in partnership with PPSK Alabel, has installed eight portable toilets at evacuation centers in Alabel and Malapatan to support displaced families and vulnerable communities.

These facilities provide evacuees with safer, cleaner, and more accessible sanitation services, helping reduce health risks and improve living conditions in evacuation sites. Beyond infrastructure, this initiative represents compassion in action and a shared commitment to protecting the health, dignity, and well-being of those affected by emergencies.

Portable Toilets are accessible in the following areas:

-Covered Court, Barangay Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province
-Libi Integrated School, Barangay Libi, Malapatan, Sarangani Province
-Municipal Grounds, Barangay Poblacion, Malapatan, Sarangani Province
