DEPARTMENT OF MIGRANT WORKERS, OWWA BARMM, OWWA 12 AT LOKAL NA PAMAHALAAN NG ALAMADA SA “Pagpapauwi ng Isang Kababayang OFW: Serbisyo at Malasakit sa Panahon ng Pagdadalamhati”

Ang Pamahalaang Lokal ng Alamada, sa pamamagitan ng Public OFW Desk Office (PODO) Alamada, katuwang ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Region XII at OWWA BARMM at Region XII, ay nagsagawa ng koordinasyon para sa maayos, ligtas, at marangal na pagpapauwi ng labi ni OFW Norhaya Pango Imam, mula sa Barangay Guiling, Alamada, Cotabato na pumanaw habang nagkasakit sa bansang Kuwait.

Dumating ang mga labi sa Awang Airport, Cotabato ganap na ika-10:25 ng umaga, kung saan isinagawa ang turnover at mga kaukulang proseso sa tulong ni Ms. Mojaira U. Ochoa, Clerk II, ng OWWA-BARMM.

Pormal na tinanggap ni Mr. Basser Alimolama Surot, ang mga labi ng kanyang kapatid kasama ang ilang myembro ng pamilya sa kanyang pag-uwi mula sa paliparan patungo sa kanilang tahanan.

Ang transportasyon ng mga labi mula sa labas hanggang makauwi sa Pilipinas at sa kanilang tahanan sa Alamada ay inasikaso at pinadali ng mga katuwang at kinauukulang ahensya gaya ng Department of Migrant Workers at Overseas Workers Welfare Adminstration ng BARMM at Rehiton 12. Tiniyak ng PODO Alamada ang koordinasyon na ang pamilya ay nabigyan ng kaukulang gabay at suporta sa bawat hakbang ng proseso ng pagpapauwi.

Ang pagkilos na ito ay nagpapakita ng patuloy na pangangalaga at pagtugon ng LGU Alamada na pinangunguluhan ni Mayor Jesus N. Sacdalan, sa pamamagitan ng PODO Alamada, sa pangangailangan ng ating mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) at kanilang mga pamilya, lalo na sa panahon ng krisis at pagdadalamhati.

Taos-pusong nakikiramay ang LGU Alamada sa pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay ni Norhaya Pango Imam sa kanilang panahon ng matinding kalungkutan.

Bilang pagpapakita ng malasakit at patuloy na suporta sa ating mga Overseas Filipino Workers, apat (4) na distressed OFWs ng Alamada ang nakatanggap ng tulong pinansyal mula sa Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Alamada sa pamamagitan ng Public OFW Desk Office.

Personal na ipinagkaloob ni Mayor Jesus N. Sacdalan ang mga tseke na nagkakahalaga ng ₱6,000 hanggang ₱7,000 sa bawat benepisyaryo. Ang nasabing tulong ay bahagi ng agarang assistance ng lokal na pamahalaan bilang tugon sa may mga hindi magandang karanasan na mga OFWs habang nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa.

Layunin ng programang ito na maibsan ang agarang pangangailangan ng mga distressed OFWs at maipadama na may handang umalalay at umagapay sa kanilang muling pagbangon.

Patuloy na hinihikayat ng Public OFW Desk Office ang mga OFWs at kanilang pamilya na makipag-ugnayan sa tanggapan upang malaman ang iba pang mga programa at serbisyong maaaring makatulong sa kanila.

Ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Alamada ay nananatiling katuwang ng bawat OFW sa kanilang paglalakbay tungo sa mas maayos at mas ligtas na kinabukasan.

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

June 7, 2026, thirty-two (32) participants from the Municipality of Alamada proudly joined the celebration of the 31st ’ Day held at The Basket, Provincial Capitol, Amas, Kidapawan City, Province of Cotabato.

Organized by the OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII in partnership with the Provincial Government of Cotabato, the event gathered more than 1,200 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), their families, and Overseas Filipino Communities (OFCs) from across Region XII in recognition of the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of our modern-day heroes.

The celebration featured various activities including competitions-Hublag: Indoor Street Dance Competition and Boodle Fight Set Up Competition, trade fairs, food stalls, government service caravans, raffle draws, and the release of assistance programs for OFWs and their beneficiaries.

We are proud to share that Alamada participants were among the lucky winners during the raffle draw, bringing home:
- 3 winners of sacks of rice
- 3 winners of grocery packages

PODO Alamada extends its gratitude to OWWA XII, the Provincial Government of Cotabato, and all partner agencies for organizing this meaningful event. Congratulations to all participants and winners, and thank you to our OFWs for your resilience, dedication, and continued contribution to nation-building.

Last May 21, OWWA Regional Welfare Office XII provides training on Values-Formation and Organizational Development to twenty-nine (29) members of the Bao Proper OFW Association at the Municipality of Alamada, Province of Cotabato.

The training aims to reinforce the values of its members with their common interests, molding them to be a goal-oriented association.
Further, the Regional Welfare Office XII stationed an OFW Help Desk that will help OFWs and their dependents from Alamada on their queries and concerns. The agency also released financial assistance to the beneficiaries under the ‘Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay!’ program.

OWWA continues to support its local OFW communities as partners in nation-building.

In light of recent security developments in the region, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah encourages all Filipinos in the western region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to closely monitor the news through reputable sources and check for advisories issued by the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, and local Saudi authorities.
The Consulate also advises Filipino travelers with upcoming flights entering or leaving the Kingdom to contact their respective airlines in anticiption of possible flight disruptions.
The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah and the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh stand ready to provide the necessary assistance to all Filipinos in the Kingdom.
