It was so progressive and successful that the logging firm employed people living there.

55th Araw ng Barangay Camp Edward ๐ŸŽ‰

On August 22, 2026, Barangay Camp Edward, Alegria, Surigao del Norte, headed by our Punong Barangay, Hon. Eva C. Sambuang, successfully celebrated its 55th Araw ng Barangay with the theme:
โ€œAng Panagtapok Maoy Tinubdan sa Nagkahiusang Katawhanโ€

The celebration was filled with meaningful and enjoyable activities, including the Flag Raising Ceremony, Holy Mass, Parlor Games, fellowship dinner, Inter-Purok Basketball ๐Ÿ€ and Volleyball ๐Ÿ, Recognition of winners, Acknowledgment of sponsors, and Disco. ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽถ

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Dominador G. Esma Jr., Municipal Mayor; Hon. Rene G. Esma, Vice Mayor; Hon. Narciso Caliao, Sangguniang Bayan Member; Hon. Robert Raphael; Hon. August 25, 2026 โ€” The 1st Day of the Participatory Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (PRVA) was successfully conducted in Barangay Camp Edward, with the active participation and valuable contributions of the Barangay Officials and BREST members. ๐Ÿค
The activity was facilitated by the MREST of Alegria, Surigao del Norte, aimed at identifying the risks, hazards, and vulnerabilities present in our community and strengthening our preparedness and resilience.

๐Ÿ“SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED | FIRST BARANGAY ASSEMBLY OF KALAHI-CIDSS UNDER THE PHILIPPINE COMMUNITY RESILIENCE PROJECT (PCRP)

The Barangay Camp Edward successfully conducted its First Barangay Assembly of Kalahi-CIDSS under the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP) on July 23, 2026, at 8:00 A.M. at the Trading Center of Camp Edward, Alegria, Surigao del Norte.

The activity was attended by representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Kalahi-CIDSS Field Office Caraga, namely: Engr. Mary Ladyniel (Technical Facilitator), Lo**ta M. Dagsa (Municipal Financial Analyst), Genilyn J. Ojel (Project Development Officer II), Christian A. Salino (Municipal Community Empowerment Facilitator), and Jehma E. Cabasa, RSW (Municipal Community Empowerment Facilitator/Advocacy and Communication Focal Person). Also present were the 30IB Detachment Commander, Mr. Ronnie B. Olmo, Tribal Council Representative, representatives from the Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) sectors, Barangay Officials, sectoral groups, community volunteers, and household representatives of Barangay Camp Edward.

The assembly served as a venue to strengthen community participation, discuss the objectives and implementation of the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP), and encourage collaboration in building a disaster-resilient, self-reliant, and progressive community.

BARANGAY CAMP EDWARD PARTICIPATED IN THE MUNICIPAL-WIDE CLEAN-UP DRIVE AND DREDGING OF CANALS ๐Ÿงน

The Barangay Camp Edward, headed by Hon. Eva C. Sambuang, together with the Barangay Officials, Barangay Functionaries, Community Volunteers, and residents, proudly participated in the Municipal-Wide Clean-Up Drive and Dredging of Canals held on July 23, 2026.

The activity demonstrated the barangay's commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment through the clearing of canals, proper waste disposal, and the removal of debris to help prevent flooding and reduce the risk of diseases, especially during the rainy season.

The Barangay Council extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who volunteered their time and effort in making this activity a success. Your cooperation and dedication reflect the true spirit of bayanihan and our shared responsibility in protecting and preserving our environment.
