CCTV MONITORING SYSTEM NOW INSTALLED AT BARANGAY SAN JUAN

The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay San Juan, Alegria, Surigao del Norte is pleased to announce the successful installation, configuration, and testing of the Barangay CCTV Monitoring System.

This project was made possible through funding from the National Government, secured through the dedicated efforts and initiative of Punong Barangay Hon. Nicanor D. Ape, together with the unwavering support and collective commitment of the Sangguniang Barangay of San Juan.

The CCTV Monitoring System is a significant investment in strengthening the barangay's peace and order program and enhancing the safety and security of all residents. Once fully operational, it will help:

✅ Strengthen crime prevention and public safety
✅ Improve monitoring of strategic areas within the barangay
✅ Support faster emergency response and incident investigations
✅ Protect public properties and promote community security

Our barangay has been awarded a Seal of Recognition – Partially Compliant during the Search for the Most Disaster Resilient Barangay 2026, conferred by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Alegria.

This recognition reflects our barangay's commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness, enhancing resilience, and ensuring the effective implementation of disaster risk reduction and management programs for the safety and well-being of our community.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Annalou C. The Municipal Tourism Office of Alegria, in partnership with Caraga State University – Cabadbaran Campus (CSU-CC), is pleased to invite all interested residents to join the FREE Skills and Livelihood Training Programs designed to enhance practical skills and create opportunities for livelihood, entrepreneurship, and employment.

🎉🌱 BARANGAY SAN JUAN SUCCESSFULLY CELEBRATES NUTRITION MONTH 2026! 🌱🎉

Barangay San Juan proudly celebrates the successful conduct of its Nutrition Month 2026 program today, July 24, 2026, highlighting the importance of proper nutrition and healthy living for every family in our community.

This meaningful activity was spearheaded by our hardworking Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS), Mrs. Ruth R. Exhavez, whose dedication and commitment made the event a great success. The Barangay also extends its heartfelt gratitude to our supportive and dynamic Punong Barangay, Hon. Nicanor D. Ape together with his council, whose leadership and full support greatly contributed to the successful implementation of the celebration.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to Barangay Nurse Mrs. Mechie Opalia Laurejas, who delivered an inspiring and informative lecture to both parents and children. She emphasized the importance of providing nutritious food and maintaining healthy eating habits to ensure the proper growth and development of every child.

The program officially opened with an invocation led by Barangay Secretary Annalou C. Ajoc, followed by a warm Welcome Address from Sangguniang Barangay Member Roberta S. Conjurado, who encouraged everyone to actively support programs that promote the health and well-being of our children.

After the educational session, participants enthusiastically joined a fun and energetic Zumba led by our dedicated Barangay Health Worker, Ms. Corhine D. Ortis, reminding everyone that regular physical activity is just as important as eating nutritious food.

Today, July 23,2026, Barangay San Juan successfully conducted the Municipal-Wide Simultaneous Clean-Up Drive at Purok 6 under the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Nicanor D. Ape, together with the members of the Sangguniang Barangay.
The activity was made more meaningful through the active participation and support of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Sir Jaden P. Laurejas and his team, as well as our brothers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
This initiative reflects our shared commitment to environmental cleanliness, disaster preparedness, and community unity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took part in making this activity a success. Together, let us continue working hand in hand to keep Barangay San Juan clean, safe, and resilient.

🎉 ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR BARANGAY SAN JUAN! 🎉

We are delighted to share another significant achievement for Barangay San Juan! Through the dedicated leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Nicanor D. Ape, together with the unwavering support of the Sangguniang Barangay, our community has successfully secured another major development project.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Provincial Governor Hon. Robert Lyndon S. Barbers for his invaluable support and to the Government of Japan, whose funding made this project possible. Your generosity and partnership will greatly benefit the people of Barangay San Juan.

💡 A Little History Behind This Achievement

The vision for this project began during the first term of Punong Barangay Hon. Nicanor D. Ape. Upon assuming office, he recognized the need to improve the barangay's Multipurpose Gym so that it could better serve the community. Realizing that such a project would require substantial funding, he sought the support of Governor Barbers while continuing to explore other funding opportunities. His persistent efforts eventually led to coordination with the Consulate of Japan, opening the way for financial assistance that has now turned this long-standing vision into reality.

This achievement reminds us that meaningful development is built on vision, perseverance, and strong partnerships. What started as an idea years ago has now become a project that will serve present and future generations of Barangay San Juan.

Together, let us continue supporting initiatives that promote progress, unity, and a brighter future for our beloved Barangay San Juan.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) will conduct a Fisherfolk Registration in Barangay San Juan on:

🗓️Date: July 22, 2026 (Wednesday)
⏰Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
🖲️Venue: Barangay San Juan Hall

All qualified individuals are encouraged to attend and register. This registration is important to ensure that you are included in the official registry of fisherfolk and may become eligible for programs, assistance, and services provided by the Department of Agriculture.

Please bring the following requirements:

One (1) valid government-issued ID;
Barangay Certificate; and
Any supporting document proving that you are a fisherfolk, fish vendor, boat operator, or fishpond caretaker.

The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay San Juan through the leadership of Hon. NICANOR D. APE together with his council successfully conducted the Pre-Construction Meeting together with the department of public works and highways and the contractor of the aforementioned project for the Road Concreting Project at Purok 1, marking the official commencement of the project's implementation. During the meeting, the project scope, implementation schedule, and the roles and responsibilities of the contractor, implementing agency, and the BLGU were discussed to ensure proper coordination and compliance with project requirements. the road concreting project is scheduled to commence on July 20. Through this,We would like to extend the full cooperation and understanding especially the community of Purok 1 and Purok 8 throughout the construction period to facilitate the smooth, timely, and successful completion of the project for the benefit of the entire community.
