The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Alegria, Surigao del Norte convened the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) and with the DTI Team spearheaded by Ma. Lourdes A. Chua, STIDS, CPU, DTI-SDN led a joint inspection of Price Tag, Weighing Scale, Fuel and LPG establishments to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and price regulations.

Guided by Republic Act No. 7581 (The Price Act) and DOE Circular No. DC2017-11-0011, the LPCC works to ensure the availability of basic goods at reasonable prices and the proper calibration of fuel dispensers, guaranteeing that consumers receive accurate volumes in every transaction.

The meeting was successfully presided over by Ryan T. Abarico, MEED Officer & External Operations Manager representing Mayor Hon. Dominador G. Esma Jr., LPCC Chairperson. Also present were STIDS Maria Lourdes A. Chua, CPU of the DTI-Surigao del Norte and the team along with members of the Alegria LPCC following conduct of inspection and survey on business establishments spearheaded by the LPCC Enforcement Team and the Local Unit of Alegria.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to consumer protection, fair trade practices, and price stability in Alegria.
