The Local Government Unit of Almagro headed by Municipal Mayor, Hon. Candido "Baby Jun" Orbeso Bona, Jr., and Mr. Roderick S. Mercader, MENRO- Designate, warmly welcomes the visitors from the DENR Regional Office for the conduct of the Waste Analysis and Charaterization Study (WACS) as part of the Updating of the 10-year Solid Waste Management Plan of the Municipality.

The activity brings together participants from all the barangays of the Municipality of Almagro, representatives from Almagro National High School (ANHS), Almagro Central Elementary School (ACES), the LGU Family, and the Rural Health Unit (RHU).

Through the collaborative effort, we strengthen our commitment to responsible waste management and environmental protection.

The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Exit Conference was successfully held at Buenaventura Suites, Calbayog City. The event was led by our Municipal Mayor and the Commission on Audit (COA) R08-08, headed by Kendrick Gil D. Udquin.

The conference was attended by barangay officials, and SK officials, highlighting the importance of transparency, accountability, and good governance in local administration.

The activity served as an avenue to discuss audit observations, share recommendations, and strengthen the commitment of barangays and SK councils to responsible and effective public service.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Almagro, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Candido O. Bona, Jr., donated a metal detector to the Almagro Municipal Police Station (MPS), headed by PLT Rogel F. Mendoza, OIC.

The donation aims to strengthen security measures and ensure the safety and protection of students and the entire school community. This initiative reflects the LGUโ€™s continued commitment to supporting law enforcement and promoting a safe and secure learning environment for the children of Almagro.

Today, Hon. Teophel A. Areglado took his oath of office before our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Candido O. Bona, Jr., as the newly Punong Barangay of Barangay Tonga-tonga, Almagro, Samar.

The oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by MLGOO Mariza Q. Bautista and Hon. Rowe Carlo A. Estado, Punong Barangay of Barangay Panjobjoban I.
