The Municipality of Alubijid, through Executive Order No. ELJ3-147, Series of 2026, has established a standing protocol to protect the health and safety of learners, teachers, and school personnel during periods of extreme heat.

📌 When the official PAGASA Heat Index Forecast for Laguindingan Station reaches 42°C (Danger Level) or higher, the suspension or limitation of face-to-face classes in all public and private schools in the Municipality shall be automatically implemented. No separate Executive Order is required for every occurrence.

📚 Schools shall implement appropriate Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) to ensure that learning continues while safeguarding everyone from heat-related illnesses.

💧 Everyone is encouraged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, and follow the guidance of school authorities and government agencies.

The Municipality of Alubijid remains committed to protecting the welfare of every learner while ensuring the continuity of quality education.

The Local Government Unit of Alubijid informs the public that classes at all levels, both public and private schools, are hereby suspended effective today until further notice due to the effects of the Trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) affecting Northern Mindanao.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, monitor official advisories, and prioritize safety at all times.

𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗦🎓

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has issued the implementing guidelines for the Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars, a nationwide assistance programme intended to help vulnerable students complete their education.

Under the guidelines, each of the country’s 42,010 barangays will allocate ₱100,000 for five qualified students, with every beneficiary receiving ₱20,000 as a one-time “finisher fund.”

Priority will be given to incoming 4th-year college students for School Year 2026–2027 who belong to vulnerable households, are at risk of dropping out, and are residents of the barangay. Students from families with no member who has completed tertiary education will also be prioritised.

Students enrolled in 5th or 6th-year programmes may qualify as long as they are expected to graduate within the same school year.

When no graduating students are available, barangays may consider incoming third-year college students or TESDA scholars.

Beneficiaries may use the assistance for tuition and other school fees, supplies, transportation, meals, and other necessary expenses directly related to completing their academic requirements.

Students studying in universities outside their city or municipality may still qualify, provided they remain residents of the barangay concerned. Both public and private college students may also be considered if they meet the prescribed requirements.

The five beneficiaries will be selected by the barangay through its Committee on Education. Barangays may introduce additional requirements, but the selection process must remain properly documented, fair, and transparent.

The circular took effect immediately. However, it does not announce a single nationwide application portal or uniform deadline, so interested students should wait for or directly inquire about the official selection process in their respective barangays.
