𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬🥭🌊

The Tourism Officers of the Province of Pampanga joins tourism workers and stakeholders from across Central Luzon for ATOCELCON 2026 with the theme "From Smart Destinations to Sustainable Futures," held on July 30–31, 2026 at the San Antonio Youth Center, San Antonio, Zambales.

As part of the opening day's activities, the Pampanga delegation assisted in the delegates' registration and joined fellow participants in experiencing complimentary tours showcasing the tourism destinations of Zambales. The convention also featured the election and introduction of the new set of ATOCEL officers, together with the presentation of the President's Report by Ms. Maria Domitela D. Mora, Provincial Tourism Officer of Zambales and outgoing ATOCEL President.

The evening concluded with Kalighawan na Pantropiko (Mayor's Night), where delegates were warmly welcomed by Hon. Arvin Rolly D. Antipolo, Municipal Mayor of San Antonio, Hon. Jun Omar C. Ebdane, Municipal Mayor of Botolan, and Hon. La Rainne Abad-Sarmiento, Municipal Mayor of San Narciso, who reaffirmed their support for stronger regional collaboration in tourism.

VIVA APUNG IRU❤️💚💛

Each year, the waters of the Pampanga River come alive during the Apung Iru Libad Festival, where hundreds of beautifully decorated boats take part in a solemn fluvial procession honoring Apung Iru (St. Peter the Apostle). Celebrated annually from June 28 to 30 as part of the Apalit Town Fiesta, the festival is a meaningful expression of faith, devotion, and the enduring cultural heritage of the people of Apalit.

Beyond its iconic river procession, the celebration is marked by religious activities that bring together families, devotees, and the local community in honoring their patron saint. Through generations, the festival has remained a testament to Apalit's rich history, strong sense of community, and unwavering spiritual tradition.

Apung Iru Libad Festival is celebrated as one of Central Luzon's enduring religious and cultural festivals. Through the continued preservation of traditions such as this, the region's rich heritage is passed on to future generations, strengthening appreciation for the customs and stories that define our communities.
